Zendaya had to calm Robert Pattinson down over film scene that had him “going crazy”
In the filming of their upcoming movie, “The Drama”, Robert Pattinson mentioned that Zendaya helped soothe his nerves.
The upcoming film, which is being written and directed by Kristoffer Borgli, sees the pair star as a couple whose relationship takes an unexpected turn shortly before their wedding day.
With filming underway on the project, Pattinson told Premiere (via IndieWire) that he went “crazy” when dissecting certain scenes from the script, a development that resulted in his co-star easing his worries before filming.
“We had a scene together that was driving me crazy,” recalled Pattinson. “I was desperately looking for its meaning, writing pages and pages of textual analysis. I ended up calling Zendaya the night before shooting the scene.
“I shared my doubts with her, I spoke for two hours, and after a while, very calmly, she made me understand that the line just said what it meant to say, that there was no hidden meaning. And there I was going crazy for three days.”
Pattinson, who can currently be seen in Mickey 17, also spoke about one of his other upcoming projects, Die, My Love. The film, another marital drama, sees Pattinson and Jennifer Lawrence starring as a couple who deal with a postpartum affair.
“I did this movie with Lynne Ramsay, and she’s a really good dancer. And Jennifer Lawrence is a really good dancer. They just find it so easy,” he said of the upcoming film. “They’re like, ‘Just dance, it’s just music playing, just dance.’
“I was like, ‘I’m going to have a mental breakdown when this happens. We need to either choreograph it or cut it.’ And they’re like, ‘No, just dance, stop being all freak.’ It came to the day, and I was sweating so much, the insides of my trousers, with sweat, were wet.”
The Drama and Die, My Love have no confirmed release dates yet. Mickey 17 is in cinemas now.
