As a longtime fan of both Zendaya and Robert Pattinson, this upcoming collaboration in “The Drama” is nothing short of exhilarating! With their exceptional talents and captivating performances, I can only imagine the magic they’ll create together under the direction of Kristoffer Borgli.
Zendaya and Robert Pattinson are teaming up for a new movie together.
The duo will feature in “The Drama,” an upcoming production by A24 and Kristoffer Borgli, who’s known for “Dream Scenario.” As reported by Deadline, the story revolves around a couple experiencing an unforeseen twist in their relationship just before their wedding day.
A24 was thrilled to collaborate with Borgli once more after the triumph of “Dream Scenario,” and momentum grew significantly when Zendaya expressed interest in leading roles, swiftly followed by Pattinson. It appears this project has become a top priority for A24 now.
At the same time, production company Square Peg (associated with Ari Aster, along with Lars Knudsen and Tyler Campellone) is also participating. They have previously collaborated with A24 on films like Hereditary, Midsommar, Dream Scenario, and are currently working on Paul Rudd and Jenna Ortega’s film titled Death of a Unicorn, as well as the upcoming project Eddington starring Emma Stone, Joaquin Phoenix, and Pedro Pascal.
So far, 2024 has been quite significant for Zendaya, given that she was a key player in the highly acclaimed film ‘Challengers’, which was directed by Luca Guadagnino, who is renowned for his work on ‘Call Me By Your Name’.
On the week of the film’s release, Zendaya admitted that she was incredibly nervous about it.
“She confessed her constant apprehension, jokingly implying she wasn’t. From a personal standpoint, this is her inaugural experience as the lead filmmaker, which has instilled in her persistent unease, anxiety, and a strong desire to create something worthy of her admiration since day one. This ambition can at times prove challenging.”
