Zendaya says a lot of people she knows actually believed the fake AI photos claiming she and Tom Holland had gotten married.
The 29-year-old actress didn’t confirm or deny rumors that she and her fiancé, also 29, had a secret wedding. However, she did acknowledge recent photos circulating online that people believed were from their wedding.
During an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, she explained that a lot of people had been tricked by photos she shared. She recounted instances of people complimenting her ‘gorgeous’ wedding photos while she was out in public, and she had to tell them, ‘Those aren’t real – they were created using AI.’
As someone who keeps a close eye on celebrity happenings, I was fascinated to hear Zendaya talk about the recent fake wedding photos circulating online. She shared that a lot of her friends and family actually believed they were real! Apparently, many were even upset, thinking they hadn’t been invited to the celebration. It just goes to show how convincing these things can be, and how easily we can all be fooled these days. She was discussing this while promoting her new movie, ‘The Drama,’ with Robert Pattinson, by the way.
Recently, there’s been a lot of talk in the media about her relationship with Tom, including rumors of a marriage. However, she isn’t willing to comment directly on the situation.
Asked if she’d seen the headlines, Zendaya teased: ‘Really? I haven’t seen any of them.’
Zendaya, known for her role in Euphoria, became engaged to her Spider-Man co-star, Tom Holland, in late 2024 after dating for several years. Her stylist, Law Roach, recently suggested they’ve already gotten married.
He told Access Hollywood: ‘The wedding has already happened. You missed it.’
When asked if that is ‘true’, Law, replied: ‘It’s very true!’
Soon after, the mother of the Challengers star, Claire Sotermer, posted a clip of the interview on her Instagram, adding a laughing emoji.
She cryptically added: ‘The laugh…’
Tom has repeatedly said he and his partner want to keep their relationship private, as they believe it shouldn’t affect their work as actors.
He shared with The Hollywood Reporter that they deeply value their relationship and want to keep it private and special.
This is completely our own decision, and it’s separate from our professional lives. We don’t feel obligated to explain it to anyone.
In a recent interview with GQ, Zendaya described her relationship as ‘sacred’ and expressed her desire to maintain its privacy.
She described a common feeling: when you deeply love someone, you sometimes find yourself wishing you could share in their experiences or possess the things they cherish.
To me, loving someone is a deeply meaningful and precious experience that should be shared and cherished between two people.
