Zara McDermott showed her support for her boyfriend, Louis Tomlinson, as he dropped his new album.
Louis Tomlinson, who rose to fame in One Direction, released his new album, How Did I Get Here?, on January 23rd. It’s been four years since his last album came out.
On Thursday evening, Zara, 28, posted a screenshot of her album on Spotify to Instagram Stories, along with a countdown to its release.
Okay, so she finally posted something! My queen, who’s been with Louis since the beginning of 2025 – can you believe it’s been that long?! – just wrote ‘Not long now!’ on her latest pic. I’m practically hyperventilating! What does it mean?! Is something big about to happen with her and Louis? I’m glued to her page, seriously!
Louis, the popular singer whose 2022 album ‘Faith in the Future’ topped the UK charts, has already released three songs from his upcoming album, ‘How Did I Get Here?’: ‘Imposter,’ ‘Palaces,’ and ‘Lemonade’.
Oh my gosh, you guys, “Lemonade” actually made it into the UK Top 30 when it came out in September! I was so excited! But, sadly, the next single, “Palaces,” just…didn’t really take off. It’s heartbreaking, honestly, because I loved it too, but it didn’t make much of an impact. I’m still hoping for a comeback!
As a music lover, I was excited to see Louis drop his new album this Friday! It was a big day for music fans, because Harry Styles, also released his single, ‘Aperture’, on the very same day. Talk about a Friday full of new tunes!
Fans of the band One Direction believe Louis Tomlinson subtly criticized Harry Styles after both released new songs on the same day. They’re saying Tomlinson’s release was a dig at Styles.
Harry, a three-time Grammy winner, is generating buzz online with the announcement of his new album, ‘Kiss All The Time, Disco Occasionally,’ and its lead single.
Harry Styles’ new song is almost certain to reach the top of the charts, which is bad news for Louis, who is also aiming for number one with both a single and an album.
Before the launch, Louis acknowledged the confusion surrounding it and asked his 28.8 million followers on X (formerly Twitter) to help him sort through the conflicting information.
I’m going to need your help over the next few days to focus on what’s important. Let’s make sure this album gets the attention it deserves!
People immediately commented, wondering if the singer was subtly criticizing his old bandmate, Harry.
Okay, so I’m totally getting a vibe here – it’s clearly about Harry Styles! It’s like, someone’s calling out all the drama and gossip surrounding him – ‘cutting through the noise,’ as they put it. And it feels like they’re playfully accusing him of… well, being shady! It’s all very ‘Oh Harry Styles, I see you!’ – a bit teasing, a bit knowing, and definitely about him.
Louis hasn’t addressed claims that he made a subtle insult towards Harry Styles, but he did publicly thank his supporters.
I want to take a moment to thank everyone who has supported me throughout my career. Your encouragement means the world to me and is reflected in everything I create.
I couldn’t have made this album without the incredible support and belief you’ve all shown me. I’m so grateful – thank you! It’s still amazing to me that I’m here.
Daily Mail contacted Louis’s representatives for comment.
It’s been an exciting week for fans of One Direction! Harry and Louis are getting ready to release new songs, Zayn Malik started performing at his Las Vegas show, and Niall hinted at a new single called ‘Drive Safe’ featuring Myles Smith.
Louis showed his support to Niall on Instagram, writing, ‘Love this!’ under the announcement post.
Harry Styles has released three studio albums as a solo artist: Harry Styles in 2017, Fine Line in 2019, and Harry’s House in 2022.
Harry Styles, the British singer, has won three Grammy Awards: one for his song “Watermelon Sugar” and two for his album “Harry’s House”.
Harry and Louis have had a complex relationship, and there were many rumors of a falling out when One Direction broke up in 2015.
The two dismissed the rumors, and their bandmate Niall Horan has consistently referred to them all as ‘brothers,’ a sentiment they’ve echoed repeatedly over the past ten years.
