Zara McDermott and Sam Thompson ‘will appear in joint TV appearance’ just weeks after shock split

Reports suggest that Zara McDermott and Sam Thompson are set to make a joint television appearance shortly following their unexpected breakup.

The ex-pair, having separated following a five-year relationship around the holiday season, have not made any public statements concerning their split.

Now they find themselves in an uncomfortable position, as they watch their own loving moments replayed on the Midnight Gameshow segment of Michael McIntyre’s Big Show.

Sam, age 32, and Zara, age 28, covertly recorded a television program prior to their separation, and they’re currently in anticipation of whether BBC One will broadcast the series during the upcoming weeks.

A confidential source informed The Sun that Zara and Sam were joyful and deeply in love before joining the Midnight Gameshow. However, their split might make things uncomfortable if the BBC decides to broadcast the show.

It’s clear that Zara and Sam participated in a formal setting, which means they didn’t cause any issues or drama. However, it’s somewhat awkward to consider that they will need to rewatch their appearance on TV since they were still in a relationship at the time.

It’s a pity that their hilarious skit featuring Michael might get scrapped, given how enjoyable it was for them and how quickly the new season is approaching. Dropping it would be a logistical headache.

On Monday, Zara appeared cheerful while standing beside a large television camera, hinting at her ongoing work on another documentary.

She disclosed that she’s been collaborating with BBC Three on a documentary series delving into harmful behaviors.

Zara shared that her intention is for her documentary to be presented in schools, with the aim of educating students about harmful behaviors at an early stage.

Zara posted a picture taken at sunset with the caption: “Feeling incredibly thankful for having the opportunity to utilize my platform to produce documentaries and contribute positively to our world.

For approximately a year, we’ve been quietly developing a documentary series focusing on the real-life effects of stalking on individuals currently going through this harrowing experience.

I truly hope this could serve as a future educational resource for schools, addressing harmful behaviors.

I’ve always had a strong interest in this topic. If I were in school now, I would love to have more educational documentaries about female violence, as it is an important issue that deserves attention.

As a lifestyle expert, I firmly advocate for the importance of nurturing knowledge during adolescence as a means to shape positive behaviors and prevent them from becoming ingrained in adulthood. I eagerly anticipate that this documentary will serve as a catalyst for change.

As Zara seemed to progress, Sam revealed that he had a particularly challenging and highly stressful year.

In the most recent episode of Staying Relevant podcast featuring friend Pete Wicks, Sam subtly suggested that the year 2024 presented unique challenges following his separation, when reflecting on the previous twelve months.

In this installment, friends discussed their future strategies, particularly Sam’s aspirations for growing their podcast and setting new record-breaking milestones in 2025.

When Pete inquired about 2024, Sam seemed to suggest difficult times ahead as he replied: “This year has likely been the best and the hardest year of my life thus far. It’s been fantastic, but also extremely challenging because there’s been a great deal happening and it’s been incredibly stressful.

Nevertheless, he subsequently commented on the fact that the year was a source of blessings, given his professional chances, and he further stated, ‘Yet, it is the year I am most thankful for, beyond all measure.’

He continued to share what he was thankful for during the past year, including his time on This Morning, his radio program, and his podcast, yet he neglected to acknowledge his five-year relationship with his ex-girlfriend.

Moving forward to 2024 without mentioning Zara, Sam commented: “Professionally speaking, it has been an absolutely exceptional year – simply amazing…

Regarding her health, it’s been a relief to see improvement – I’m incredibly thankful for this. On the bright side, our family life is thriving; we’re all in good health and spirits, which is truly delightful.

My nephew is terrific; we share a warm relationship. He’s reaching an age when stories like Harry Potter and The Lord of the Rings resonate, making it a perfect time for me to step in!

He also added that his best pal’s Strictly Come Dancing appearance had been a highlight.

Zara and Sam started seeing each other in the year 2019 when Sam, a cast member of Made In Chelsea, reached out to Zara, who was on Love Island at the time, through Instagram.

In the latest scoop I’ve come across, a dynamic duo seems to have taken a step apart, although they haven’t yet spoken up about their split in public.

It appears that Sam and Zara parted ways several weeks back, and she has since vacated their shared residence in London.

It’s been disclosed that Zara has made a clandestine journey to Paris for the New Year, seeking solitude following her breakup and allowing the Sun to shine upon her.

According to a source, Zara found the past period particularly challenging. Her visit to Paris served as an escape from her troubles.

Zara aims to concentrate on her job and straighten out her life. They parted ways a while ago, but their separation became official more recently, and she’s been living separately since then.

A mere month ago, the duo parted paths, following Sam’s heartfelt tribute to his beloved Zara, whom he referred to as his soulmate, in celebration of her birthday.

In the Instagram post, the radio host referred to Zara as his “lifelong companion” whom he will always have by his side.

He wrote: ‘Dear closest companion and kindred spirit – some might call you my very self. I fear our bond is eternal. Happy Birthday! You are deeply cherished, and I have truly missed you during the last month. Here’s to another fantastic year together!’
