Zara Larsson hits out at fans for pitting her against Tate McRae as she insists they ‘love and support each other’

Zara Larsson has expressed her frustration with fans who are trying to create rivalry between her and Tate McCrae, criticizing the competitive comparisons being made between them.

The Swedish popstar recently joined the artist behind the hit song ‘Greedy’ on her Miss Possessive Tour, which finished in Los Angeles last week.

Zara shared some photos from the concerts on Instagram and expressed her gratitude to Tate for letting her open for him.

Speaking to those who had created conflict between them, she emphasized that they were simply ‘just two pop girls who love and support each other‘.

I’m so thrilled to announce that the Miss Possessive tour is officially over! @tatemcrae, thank you, from the very bottom of my heart, for letting me and my girls share the stage with you every single night. It’s been an incredible experience and I’m so grateful for your kindness and support!

I’m incredibly grateful for the chance to show everyone a Zara outfit. I’m truly overwhelmed by all the positive feedback I’ve received over the last few weeks from your amazing fans and across the internet.

It’s been a little odd to see people trying to create drama between us, especially since we’re just two pop singers who genuinely like and support each other, even behind the scenes!

You’re remarkably gifted – it’s clear to everyone watching your performances – and you also have a fantastic team supporting you.

Honestly, working with the dancers, band, crew, the whole team – even the drivers and tech folks – has been such a pleasure. I’ve always believed that how people interact with each other really says a lot about their work ethic and character. It’s been a genuinely positive experience, and that’s something I always pay attention to.

You truly lead by example and consistently deliver exceptional work. You’re a super star! Please know that I’ll always support you. Thank you for this incredible experience!!!

Zara’s new album, Midnight Sun, came out this weekend. She also went on Instagram to express her gratitude to fans for all their support.

She penned: ‘One day of Midnight Sun! This record has made me more expressive with my thoughts.

Creating this project has really helped me grow as a songwriter, team player, and communicator, and it’s made me a much happier person overall – it was such a smooth and heellaaa fun experience! I’m really excited to think that this is just the beginning.

This marks only the beginning of an exciting exploration into uncharted creative territory – a place filled with endless possibilities! And I haven’t embarked on this journey alone.

The star is also set to head out on her own tour in October across Europe, the UK and the US.

Meanwhile, Tate generated a lot of buzz at this year’s MTV VMAs with a provocative performance of “Revolving Door” and “Sports Car.” She definitely brought the energy and excitement to the show.

Surrounded by muscular backup dancers who looked like figures from ancient Greece, Tate captivated the audience with a performance that quickly became passionate. She wore a sexy white crop top and hot pants for the show that soon turned steamy.

She moved playfully and alluringly within a large sandbox, and her backup dancers – wearing minimal speedos and sparkling outfits – mirrored her movements.

She concluded the performance while on the floor, moving her body gracefully and suggestively as flames appeared behind her.

Tate’s performance was very well-received, and fans are comparing her to Britney Spears – a comparison that’s been made before.

An enthusiastic fan exclaimed: ‘Tate McRae looked absolutely stunning during the performance, I really enjoyed it!’
