Zack Snyder, director of Rebel Moon, has recently given an update on the potential continuation of Netflix’s action sci-fi series following the first two parts that received unfavorable critiques from critics. This news follows closely after Netflix launched a new game called Blood Line, which is derived from Snyder’s Rebel Moon universe.
In a recent chat with Variety, I, Synder, shared that I’ve momentarily put aside my work on the third Rebel film to dive headfirst into my upcoming LAPD project for Netflix. It feels great to step away from the Rebel Moon series, particularly after directing consecutive installments. The break is refreshing, indeed!
Snyder stated, “I found myself delving into something else – not exactly ‘sidetracked,’ more like dealing with high-level issues, as they put it – for Netflix, I’m working on an LAPD SWAT film. So I thought, OK, let me give the Rebel Moon universe some time to simmer, and I’ll jump into this. To be honest, it was a demanding and prolonged effort working on both films together. It was refreshing to take a break from it for a while. I adore it immensely, but having a break feels good. So we’ll see where things stand when I return.
Zack Snyder plans to watch the new Superman movie soon
As a film enthusiast, I’ve got to mention that someone recently inquired about my thoughts on James Gunn’s Superman film. Truth be told, I haven’t had the opportunity to catch it myself, but let me assure you, it’s on my watchlist! As soon as I find some spare time, I’ll be diving into that Superman adventure.
On the weekend, I won’t be able to catch it as I have a horse show where my children participate in riding horses. However, I plan to watch it immediately afterward. (Snyder stated this.)
The movie called Superman was made by James Gunn who also directed it. This film is based on characters developed by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster from DC Comics. David Corenswet portrays the roles of both Superman and Clark Kent, while Rachel Brosnahan plays Lois Lane, and Nicholas Hoult takes on Lex Luthor. Since its premiere, critics and viewers have been praising this DC Universe film. On Rotten Tomatoes, it has an impressive 83% fresh rating.
