As a movie fan in India, I’m really excited about Warner Bros. Discovery teaming up more closely with JioHotstar! It finally means we have one place to stream everything from HBO Max. And while there’s a ton of great stuff to watch, it’s Zack Snyder’s Justice League – the 2021 director’s cut – that’s really grabbing everyone’s attention. It’s currently the number one movie on JioHotstar’s charts, and honestly, it’s easy to see why!
It’s impressive that the Snyder Cut has done so well, considering how many popular movies it outperformed. It currently ranks higher than classics like Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, recent blockbusters like The Batman, family films like Zootopia 2, and even the massive hit Avengers: Endgame. On April 19th, Zack Snyder shared exciting news with his fans on Instagram: his cut of “Justice League” reached the #1 spot on JioHotstar’s Top 10 Movies list in India, coinciding with the launch of HBO Max there. It surpassed popular films like “Harry Potter” and “Avengers: Endgame.” Snyder celebrated that fans in India can now experience the full, 4-hour version of his vision, including the black suit Superman, Cyborg’s complete story, and a hint of Darkseid, and asked who else was watching on JioHotstar.
This release brings the 2021 version of the movie – with restored storylines for Cyborg and hints of the villain Darkseid – to viewers who previously didn’t have easy access through HBO Max.
