Zachary Quinto offers hopeful Star Trek 4 update
As a seasoned gamer who’s seen more than his fair share of reboots and sequels, I can’t help but feel a mix of excitement and trepidation about Zachary Quinto‘s recent remarks on Star Trek 4. On one hand, it’s heartening to hear that the Spock actor remains optimistic about the franchise’s future, especially considering the ups and downs it’s faced over the years.
Zachary Quinto has given fans a hopeful update on Star Trek 4.
In the revamped series initiated by JJ Abrams in 2009, there have been several delays in the production of the fourth movie. The latest news is that a new screenwriter joined the team as recently as March.
Fifth time might be the charm! Quinto hinted at the potential of the Star Trek crew reuniting for another movie in the future, expressing optimism by stating, “Anything could happen.
As I shared with Variety, there’s no age limit in my book. The original Star Trek cast appeared in films for many years, even deep into their fifties and sixties.
Perhaps the tales will vary. Maybe we won’t be able to sprint at the same pace on other celestial bodies, but I firmly believe that anything can happen, and I think there’s nothing more rewarding for an artist than to revisit something following a period of time, and develop a fresh connection with it from a completely novel standpoint, offering a brand-new perspective.
He went on, “What’s fantastic about ‘Star Trek’ is it offers an infinite realm of possibilities.” Glance at the numerous TV series, the countless tales, the myriad characters and storylines. The sky’s the limit – anything can happen.
I find great pleasure in this franchise, which is why it has endured for decades – 55 or 60 years. If given the opportunity, I am eager and excited about the prospect of being a part of it.
It’s a more positive outlook than Captain Kirk actor Chris Pine has, as last year he admitted that he feels like the franchise is “cursed”.
Following its underperformance, not achieving the $1 billion everyone hoped for, and the unfortunate passing of Anton Yelchin, he expressed his feelings as, “I’m not sure what to think, but it seems like it’s been tainted by bad luck.
