Zach Bryan deactivates his X account after controversial tweet claiming Kanye West is greater than Taylor Swift
As an avid fan of Zach Bryan and his soulful ballads that resonate with the depth of my own heartache, I was disheartened to see him deactivate his Twitter account after his controversial post about Taylor Swift and Kanye West. I’ve followed his journey since the release of DeAnn, a testament to his raw talent and personal loss, and have eagerly anticipated each new album and single he’s released.
On Wednesday, musician Zach Bryan chose to disable his Twitter account following a contentious post regarding Taylor Swift and Kanye West that he made the previous day.
The 28-year-old singer tweeted on Tuesday night, ‘Eagles > Chiefs Kanye > Taylor who’s with me.’
In response to the post, swift fans promptly criticized it, leading him to shut down his social media account just hours afterwards. (Paraphrased)
Despite temporarily deactivating his Instagram account following a passionate outburst on parenting last month, the artist’s Instagram account remains active today, boasting more than 4.7 million followers.
He did, however, post numerous Kanye West songs on his Instagram story which have since expired.
For years, Bryan has remained an ardent supporter of the NFL team, the Philadelphia Eagles. Interestingly, Travis Kelce, Swift’s partner, is a player on the Kansas City Chiefs.
It’s yet unclear what caused the tweet, but swiftly, countless Swift fans didn’t hesitate to defend the singer.
A user named @wavessarewavess commented that it was hilarious how Zach Bryan couldn’t handle business matters and deleted his Twitter account after accidentally mentioning Taylor Swift, knowing full well that he had made a mistake.
Another, @crashyuck, said, ‘Very bad take too especially after all the weird stuff Kanye has said.’
I too am eagerly awaiting Bryan’s return, for he has earned my loyalty and become my top choice among all others.
On Tuesday, more fans of Taylor Swift discovered her latest Instagram post, and many expressed their sentiment by writing, ‘Taylor Swift surpasses Zach Bryan.’
In the year 2017, Bryan began sharing his compositions on YouTube. His inaugural album, titled “DeAnn” (in honor of his beloved late mom), was unveiled in 2019.

2022 saw the release of his first major-label album, “American Heartbreak,” which gained widespread popularity due to the success of its lead single, “Something In the Orange.
Initially, the tune appeared at position 55 in the Billboard Hot 100 singles rankings, but later climbed up to number 10. Simultaneously, the record first entered the Billboard 200 album chart at position 5.
In August 2023, he launched his own-named album, which topped the Billboard 200 chart in its premiere, featuring his initial number one hit “I Remember Everything” alongside Kacey Musgraves.
In July, his fifth studio album titled “The Great American Bar Scene” was released, boasting collaborations with musicians like John Mayer and Bruce Springsteen.
