YouTuber Cody Ko Removed From Operations at His Podcast Network

As a longtime fan of Cody Ko and his creative output through TMG Studios, I’m deeply dismayed by the recent revelations regarding his past actions with Tana Mongeau when she was underage. The allegations have left me feeling betrayed and confused, as I had always admired Cody for his humor, creativity, and positive impact on the podcasting world.

Cody Ko, a popular YouTuber, has announced his resignation from managing TMG Studios on a daily basis due to controversy surrounding an alleged relationship between him and Tana Mongeau when she was just 17 years old and he was 25.

In the upcoming stage of TMG Studies, we felt it necessary to share that Cody will no longer be managing the day-to-day activities. This decision comes from a personal matter he’s been dealing with in recent weeks. Cody wishes to shield us all from any repercussions and maintain focus on your professional growth and the achievements that have made TMG Studios thrive.

On Friday night, the statement, which was examined by TIME, could only be accessed by subscribers who had paid for a subscription to TMG Studios.

Miller, previously a co-host of “Tiny Meat Gang Podcast” alongside Ko, has taken on the role of creative head at the studio. The network’s six shows are set to resume new episodes in the near future following an unexpected break.

Mongeau claimed Ko had an inappropriate relationship with her when she was just 17, during a May podcast episode of “Cancelled”. This allegation resurfaced in July after commentator D’Angelo Wallace discussed the situation on his YouTube channel and urged viewers to take it seriously. As a result, Ko, who previously had over 9 million subscribers across five YouTube channels, has experienced significant subscription losses. Based on SocialBlade data, he’s lost approximately 270,000 subscribers within the past month.

Ko’s representatives were unreachable for a response when contacted about the issue. Previously, Mongeau had chosen not to speak about the report.

With increasing pressure on Ko to address Mongeau’s accusation, those associated with him are being urged to take a stance as well. His wife, Kelsey Kreppel, has been targeted with hateful comments in her YouTube videos, while one of his collaborators, Brittany Broski, released a statement via Instagram. Drew Phillips and Enya Umanzor, the hosts of Emergency Intercom podcast, have announced they will no longer work with TMG Studios and will produce their show independently.

I had the pleasure of witnessing Ko’s debut performance on July 19 at Las Vegas’ Encore Beach Club. As I stood there among the crowd, my eyes were glued to the DJ booth where Ko was working his magic. Videos of his set have since surfaced online, and believe me, you don’t want to miss out on the buzz surrounding this up-and-coming talent. One particular track that left a lasting impression on me was his remix of Justin Bieber’s “Sorry.” It was a fresh take on an already catchy tune, and I couldn’t help but groove along with it. Trust me; Ko is definitely an artist to keep an eye on.
