Pioneer Woman Ree Drummond is embracing her ‘grandma era.’

56-year-old celebrity from Food Network, recently assumed the role of grandmother in December, as her daughter Alex Drummond, aged 27, delivered a baby girl named Sofia, alongside her husband Mauricio Scott.

Over the weekend, Drummond posted some cute pictures and a video of her granddaughter on Instagram.

One picture captured her beaming as she cradled Sofia, elegantly dressed in a sweet pink romper. In another snapshot, it appeared that Ree and Sofia were relaxing comfortably upon an inviting outdoor couch.

In the time of my grandmother, this elated new grandmother (who has an estimated family fortune of approximately $200 million) penned a caption, complete with a dancing emoji.

Her daughter Alex commented, writing, ‘My favorite era!!’  

Another picture depicted her walking Sofia and their golden retriever around the neighborhood in Texas. Additionally, she posted an adorable video of Sofia in a cradle, delightfully teasing her.

In her caption, she expressed that experiencing grandparenthood mirrors the delightful sensations of being a new mom for the first time, yet without the exhaustion, emotional fluctuations, and bewilderment.

I hadn’t felt quite prepared to step onto the senior side of the road, but heaven help me…I’m truly enjoying it and I’m incredibly thankful for this blessing.

People commenting on Ree’s posts were full of admiration, particularly expressing their approval for her whole-hearted acceptance of her new role as a grandmother.

I’m really enjoying how you’re getting into the old-fashioned vibe! I cherish my grandkids, yet I must admit I feel a bit awkward with the ‘grandmother’ title. Thanks for maintaining such a cheerful outlook.

Besides Alex, Ree Drummond (also known as Pioneer Woman) and her spouse Ladd Drummond have a daughter named Paige, who is 25 years old, as well as sons Bryce, 21, and Todd, 20. They also care for their foster son Jamar, who is 21 years old.

Ree joyfully announced on her website that she became a grandmother in December.

Back in June, Alex, her daughter, announced that she and her spouse Mauricio were anticipating their first baby arrival during the winter months.

On the morning of December 18, around 2:30 am, in Dallas, Texas, Alex welcomed her baby girl into the world just in time for Christmas.

Ree posted a touching photo of herself holding her newly-arrived, beautiful granddaughter, with the baby’s name hidden below the image – which she later disclosed.

She excitedly shared the wonderful news that Sofia, their newborn daughter, arrived earlier today for Alex and Mauricio, as her heart overflowed with joy!

My little girl has become a grandmother, and I must admit, it’s all quite overwhelming for me,” said the TV personality, beaming with joy.

Ree and Ladd, her long-time spouse (married for 28 years), managed to reach the Dallas hospital before the delivery took place.

Mauricio took care of Alex’s every requirement, leaving us wondering if our presence was necessary at all, remarked Ree. It’s truly heartwarming for Ladd and me that Alex has a companion in life who expresses affection so unambiguously through his actions.

She called the baby ‘flawless,’ remarking: ‘I’m saying this as impartially as possible. But I’m not joking…she is flawless. If you were to look up “flawless” in a dictionary, it would likely reference Sofia Scott, and might even include her photo. However, that would technically be an encyclopedia.’

Warmly addressing her followers, Ree expressed, “It brings me joy for Alex’s online family – aunts, uncles, and all who have watched her journey on my blog and cooking show – to be part of the most memorable day in her life…and undoubtedly, a day that is equally special for Ladd and myself.

Alex and Mauricio tied the knot at the Drummond Ranch in rural Oklahoma on May Day 2021.

Their net worth, roughly approximated at $200 million, primarily derives from the thriving cattle and horse operations run by their esteemed patriarch, Ladd.

Ladd, one of the proprietors at Drummond Land & Cattle Company, is a descendant of a family deeply rooted in ranching that traces its history back to the late 1800s when his forebearer Fred Drummond started buying land in Oklahoma and Kansas.

Beyond ranching, the Drummonds also have a lucrative arrangement with the U.S. government.
