The six-episode series explores the ensuing investigations by both UK and US governments concerning the bombing, delving into the emotional repercussions for Lockerbie’s inhabitants, the bereaved families, and the investigators themselves.

Families Like Ours

In a chilling portrayal of a water-logged future, this Danish series unfolds, where escalating floodwaters trigger mass displacements and profound societal transformations – from altered fortunes and heartrending family separations, to the emergence of division, hostility, and, surprisingly, love and fresh starts. I find myself deeply immersed in its narrative, as it revolves around Laura, a high school student, who, after the evacuation, finds herself at a crossroads, torn between three of her most cherished companions.

The TV series titled Families Like Ours was developed by Thomas Vinterberg of Another Round fame and Bo Hr Hansen from The Art of Crying. This show has been widely praised, having premiered in its home country Denmark last year. More recently, it has been bought by the BBC for airing on BBC Four and BBC iPlayer, making it accessible to stream in its entirety.

I Kissed a Boy – season 2

Once again, the popular dating reality series makes its return for a second season, introducing a fresh batch of bachelors on their quest for love under the watchful gaze of host and cultural icon Dannii Minogue and narrator Layton Williams (Strictly Come Dancing)). The show I Kissed a Boy brings together 10 single men, who exchange their first kiss to determine if there’s a spark, before exploring whether it leads to something more meaningful. Viewers have already been moved by contestant Adam, as he shared his emotional journey following his HIV diagnosis in the latest episodes.

The second season made its debut this month, a couple of years following the triumphant initial broadcast. Currently, the opening episodes are ready for viewing.

Marie Antoinette – season 2

The popular historical drama series is back for its second installment, picking up the narrative about the last queen of France prior to the French Revolution. In this season, Treadstone‘s Emilia Schüle portrays our main character, with the fresh episodes focusing on Marie as she navigates her mother’s passing and encounters increased dangers while her influence in France increases. Alongside Louis XVI, she also grapples with a financial predicament and unrest among the nobles.

As a passionate viewer, I’m excited to share that this show was brought to life by creator Deborah Davis. Alongside her, we have the talents of Louis Cunningham, known for his role in “Call the Midwife,” Jack Archer, and Jasmine Blackborow, who graced our screens in “The Gentlemen.” The best part? Inside Our Minds

In 2023, Chris Packham started an enlightening series titled “Inside Our Autistic Minds,” where he collaborated with artists to aid individuals with autism in communicating their inner emotions effectively.

In his latest shows, currently streaming on BBC iPlayer, he connects with individuals dealing with ADHD and dyslexia while assisting them in filmmaking. The people Chris interacts with include a tour guide diagnosed with ADHD, a project manager who was diagnosed later in life, as well as a school counselor and a builder from South Wales struggling with dyslexia. These individuals share their emotions and experiences through the films they create together.

Alison Hammond’s Big Weekend

Alison Hammond, beloved by many from her appearances on This Morning and The Great British Bake Off, has introduced a brand-new BBC series. In this show, she spends weekends getting to know various well-known personalities in the locations that played significant roles in shaping their identities.
