There’s exciting news for fans of the popular Disney+ series, Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man: a second season is officially happening!

The animated series Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man, from Marvel Television, began streaming on Disney+ in January 2025. It was created by Jeff Trammell and features Hudson Thames returning as the voice of Peter Parker/Spider-Man, a role he previously played in What If…?

This version of Spider-Man takes place in a different timeline than the main Marvel Cinematic Universe stories we’re used to. It focuses on Peter Parker’s beginnings as a hero, and in this world, Norman Osborn – voiced by Colman Domingo – becomes Peter’s mentor instead of Tony Stark. Fans of the comics will know Norman Osborn as the villain, the Green Goblin.

What is the Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man MCU update?

A new Spider-Man movie is being made and should be released later this year. While the story is still a secret, Gwen Stacy and Venom are confirmed to be in it.

Someone on Twitter asked Trammell for an update on Season 2 of Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man. He replied that things are going well and the team is working hard to make the new season even more exciting and action-packed. He said he’s eager to share it with fans and believes they’ll really enjoy it if they liked the first season.

The show also features Kari Wahlgren as May Parker, Grace Song as Nico Minoru, Eugene Byrd as Lonnie Lincoln/Tombstone, Zeno Robinson as Harry Osborn, Hugh Dancy as Otto Octavius, Charlie Cox as Daredevil, Ettore Ewen as Bulldozer, Aleks Le as Amadeus Cho, Mick Wingert as Iron Man, Cathy Ang as Pearl Pangan, and additional voice actors.

Marvel Studios hasn’t announced a specific release date for the next Spider-Man movie yet.
