Young Thug To Play First Live Show Since Prison Release This Summer

Young Thug is officially returning to the stage for the first time since his 2022 arrest.

As a fervent music enthusiast, I’m thrilled to announce that in 2025, I’ll be gracing the stage at Lyrical Lemonade’s Summer Smash festival! This three-day extravaganza is set to unfold from June 20th to 22nd at SeatGeek Stadium in Bridgeview, Illinois. On the final day, Sunday, I’ll be taking over the stage after Don Toliver and Yeat on Friday and Future on Saturday. The lineup for this event is nothing short of phenomenal, with Chance the Rapper also performing on Sunday, alongside Quavo, Lil Yachty, Sexyy Red, Ski Mask the Slump God, NLE Choppa, Soulja Boy, and many more artists! It’s going to be an unforgettable experience, mark your calendars!

Ever since I rocked the stage at South by Southwest back in March ’22, I haven’t been performing live. You might remember that in May, I found myself behind bars, charged with RICO offenses. They claimed I was running a criminal enterprise through my label YSL. Man, that trial dragged on for over two years, making it the longest criminal case in Georgia history!

Finally, last October, I decided to take a plea deal. It meant walking out of jail, but with 15 years of probation to serve. Can’t wait to get back on stage, though!

2025 Summer Smash Festival tickets become available this coming Friday, March 28th, starting at noon Central Time. Check out the complete lineup here.
