Young Sheldon star Montana Jordan, 21, talks being a new dad before the debut of his Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage spinoff
As a fervent fan of Young Sheldon, I’ve been following Montana Jackson’s journey with bated breath since he first graced our screens as Georgie Cooper. But nothing could have prepared me for this delightful turn of events! Becoming a father at such a young age might seem daunting to some, but not for Montana. He embraces it with the same zest and enthusiasm that he brings to his acting.
Actor Montana Jackson, known for playing Young Sheldon, became a father for the first time with his partner, Jenna Weeks, in May.
They named their newborn daughter Emma Rae Jordan.
On Thursday, the 21-year-old actor shared with People his thoughts on becoming a father at a young age.
‘It’s been great for me, man. There’s nothing better,’ he told the outlet.
In the show, Jordan, who portrayed Georgie Cooper, mentioned that Georgie is currently four months old. He also shared that he has two young nieces – one is five years old while the other is two years old.
‘So I’ve been around kids and I’ve always loved them, but I can give my nieces back.
He playfully remarked, “I can’t return her to someone else; I’m stuck with her,” but he quickly added, “Just kidding! No, she’s fantastic, really. Honestly, there’s no greater joy than being a father. Nothing compares, absolutely not.
His new show Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage debuts on October 17.
Shortly following the final episode of his long-running CBS sitcom in May, he announced that he had welcomed a new addition to his family – a daughter.
He expressed in his caption that God has given him a stunning little girl, whom they’ve named Emma Rae Jordan. His message conveyed that they, as Momma and Daddy, adore her deeply – their affection for her is eternal.
On her Instagram story, the social media influencer posted an image without a caption, showing their little girl sleeping peacefully in a pink-ribboned headband, nestled in her arms.
In the comments on his post, some of his Young Sheldon colleagues extended their congratulations for becoming parents.
As the character portraying young Sheldon Cooper, I felt compelled to express my heartfelt sentiments towards the on-screen version of my elder sibling, Georgie.

Jordan and his partner, whom he’s been seeing since 2020, unveiled their exciting news of expecting a child together on January 21st through charming photos from a maternity session featuring ultrasound pictures.
On Mother’s Day, Jordan additionally shared more photos from their photoshoot, expressing heartfelt praise for his significant other in an emotional message.
‘Happy Mother’s Day to the most beautiful momma in the world,’ he penned to Weeks.

Shortly after Jordan revealed his role in the new series “Georgie and Mandy’s First Marriage,” a spinoff of Young Sheldon and The Big Bang Theory, they are set to welcome a new family member.
In March, it was revealed that a fresh comedy series featuring Montana and Emily Osment would take over the timeslot previously occupied by Young Sheldon starting in the autumn.
The television series “Young Sheldon” premiered during its initial season in 2017, with Jordan being only 14 years old then. After completing a total of seven seasons, the last episode was broadcast on May 16.
This month, it was officially revealed that Jordan will star in a new spin-off series, titled so, focusing on the lives of Georgie, Jordan’s wife Mandy, and their children in the aftermath of the show’s final episode.
In the forthcoming series, we’ll watch as the new family, comprised of a young couple, takes on the joys and trials of bringing up baby CeeCee within the Lone Star State, all while managing the complexities of adult life, parenthood, and matrimony.
On the previous Friday, Entertainment Tonight learned that Jordan and Osment would start filming in July, and they both expressed their excitement about it.
Georgie and Mandy’s debut wedding series, titled “Georgie and Mandy’s First Marriage,” is set to begin airing in September. Each episode will be broadcast on CBS every Thursday.
