As a lifestyle expert with over two decades of experience in the entertainment industry, I have seen many ups and downs, but the recent events at KIIS FM are truly heart-wrenching. The emotional farewell of Mitch Churi from The Night Show and The Pick Up leaves me feeling a mix of sadness and concern for the future of radio.

As I walked out of KIIS FM’s North Sydney studios yesterday, I found myself alongside Laura Byrne and Brittany Hockley, my esteemed colleagues who had just been let go. Together, we put on a resilient front as we navigated the day.

As the radio hosts appeared visibly moved, they hugged Mitch goodbye for what seemed like the last time, just minutes after it was announced that he was being let go.

Laura wore a black tank paired with brown patterned pants.

In a fashionable manner, the 38-year-old adorned herself with trendy sunglasses, gleaming gold earrings, and a shiny silver necklace. She also incorporated a splash of vibrancy into her attire by carrying a lively blue accessory featuring animal motifs.

She pulled her raven hair back into a neat bun, and chose to embrace her natural charm without any makeup, during her excursion.

As I gazed upon Brittany, 37, standing there, she radiated effortless style like no other. Her beige top perfectly complemented the casual yet chic aura she exuded, while her ripped denim shorts highlighted those fabulously long, slender legs of hers that never fail to leave me in awe.

The cheerful presenter finished off her outfit with a pair of crisp white sneakers and added a stylish touch with sleek aviator glasses.

She carried a designer bag of a warm, chocolate hue, and let her dark hair cascade freely about her shoulder area.

As they embraced Mitch on the sidewalk, the duo grew teary-eyed, bidding a sad goodbye to their long-term work companion, who learned his employment contract wouldn’t be extended.

On a particular occasion, I found myself trying to console Mitch as I gently placed my arm around him, listening attentively as he conversed with both Mitch and Laura.

The lively host appeared to bid a heartfelt goodbye, and her sudden termination has cast uncertainty over whether Laura and Brittany will remain with the network as well.

This week, it seems that KIIS FM is facing challenges, as a significant figure is said to have been dismissed according to recent accounts.

Churi will finish up at the end of the year, the Daily Telegraph claimed on Tuesday.

Since 2019, he’s been the host of “The Night Show with Mitch Churi” and also shares hosting duties on “The Pick Up” alongside Laura and Brittany.

According to the report, the decision was based on financial concerns, and Mitch, absent from the air since Thursday, received the unfortunate news on Tuesday.

‘Mitch is shattered and completely blindsided,’ the publication quoted a ‘colleague’ as saying.

Reports indicate that Kyle Sandilands was taken aback by the recent news, causing uncertainty about the continuation of Hockley and Byrne’s program.
