80 years old at the time, she embarked on her acting career when she was only 11 years old. Her performances spanned variety shows, Bob Hope-hosted USO tours, multiple TV and film roles, and even a part sharing the stage with Jane Fonda in the 1960 Broadway production “There Was A Little Girl.

The actress even earned her a Golden Globe nomination.

Heatheron has acted in films such as ‘My Blood Runs Cold’, released in 1965, and ‘The Happy Hooker Goes to Washington’, which came out in 1977.

1964 saw Heatherton being put forward for a Golden Globe Award in the category “New Star Of The Year – Actress.” This recognition came from her outstanding performance in the movie “Twilight of Horror,” which starred Richard Chamberlain.

Born into showbiz in New York City, Joey, the daughter of renowned Broadway actor and television figure Ray Heatherton, started her career under the limelight at a young age.

In the mature phase of her life, Joey collaborated with her dad on a four-week-long musical variety show titled “Joey & Dad” which premiered in 1975.

She made multiple appearances on talk shows including The Tonight Show and The Dean Martin Show.

Additionally, her professional journey encompassed music as well. In the year 1972, Joey unveiled her studio album titled “The Joey Heatherton Album.

During this decade, she also appeared in commercials for Serta Mattresses and RC Cola. 

Joey’s latest acting credit is the 1990 Johnny Depp-led him, Cry-Baby. 

In her personal life, Joey was briefly married to Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Lance Rentzel.

Over time, she’s encountered several legal issues, such as an incident in 1986 where she was suspected of grabbing a passport clerk’s hair following claims that the clerk declined to exchange a $100 note.

According to the LA Times, she was later cleared of charges for disorderly conduct and hindering government operations by a U.S. Magistrate.
