She was also a member of Bette Midler’s backup group, the Harlettes.
In 1990, Sagal showcased his diverse musical talent, appearing in the movie “Silent Rage” and composing the theme song for “Loose Cannons”.
1985 marked the launch of her acting career, starting with the character of a newspaper columnist in the show Mary, eventually leading to her famed portrayal of Peg Bundy on Married… with Children.
The show, which ran from 1987 to 1997, made Sagal a household name.
After her time in Married… with Children, she made guest appearances on animated shows such as Recess and provided the voice of Leela in Futurama, a part she continued to play over the years, garnering a devoted fanbase.
