On Thursday, Celine Dion honored the day that would have been her husband Rene Angelil’s 83rd birthday.

Last month, the 56-year-old vocalist, who previously posted a heartwarming message for the New Year, publicly honored her partner by sharing a touching tribute on Instagram, which was viewed by almost nine million of her fans.

As a devoted admirer, I took to social media to share a striking, monochrome image of the individual who was both my mentor and guide – Angélil. Accompanying this poignant tribute was an emotional message that resonated deeply with me.

The couple shared three sons — René-Charles, 23, and twins Nelson and Eddy, 14.

In her message, she mentioned, ‘Flipping through decades of photos and videos keeps reminding us of you, capturing your speech, your movements, and cherishing your personality.’

Celine, who first encountered her partner at the age of 12 while he was 38, expressed, ‘We continually honor you. Happy Birthday, Rene, My Love.’

She signed off, ‘Céline, RC, Nelson and Eddy xx…’ before crediting photographer Gérard Schachmes.

Previously, she commemorated the anniversary of his passing on her social media account. He had succumbed to throat cancer.

A month ago, the seasoned performer recognized that it would have marked their 30th wedding anniversary on December 17th.

Back in December 2022, Dion disclosed that she had been diagnosed with a neurological disorder known as Stiff Person Syndrome.

This uncommon condition comes with symptoms such as muscle twitches, significantly hindering her previous ease in delivering performances and hitting notes that were once second nature to her during her distinguished career.
