The critically acclaimed Batman series, often considered the best in the franchise, will soon be removed from Netflix in certain countries. While many classic Batman shows and movies have been made, finding where to watch them can still be surprisingly difficult, despite the convenience of streaming services.

Batman: The Animated Series Is Leaving Netflix In Some Locations
Throughout December, Netflix adds and removes various shows and movies. A notable change for Batman fans is that Batman: The Animated Series will no longer be available starting December 22nd in some regions, meaning December 21st is the last chance to watch it.
The DC shows will be removed from Netflix, but not everywhere. Viewers in England, Ireland, Scotland, Wales, and New Zealand will be affected by this change.
December 2025 Sees Several Other DC Releases Change Streaming Platforms
American Netflix subscribers won’t be affected by the recent changes, but those watching DC content will see some updates to streaming options in December 2025.
Starting in December 2025, several DC movies will no longer be available on HBO Max. These include Black Adam, DC League of Super-Pets, Injustice, Suicide Squad: Hell To Pay, the complete Justice League: Crisis On Infinite Earths series, and both parts of the animated Watchmen adaptation (according to The Direct).
This month, both Supergirl and Beware the Batman are being removed from streaming, adding to a significant number of DC shows undergoing changes for US viewers. Fans who are losing access to Batman: The Animated Series on Netflix will also find that multiple seasons of Young Justice will disappear from the platform on the same day.
As DC Studios and Warner Bros. plan the future of the DC Universe – and with the ongoing discussions about a potential Warner Bros. acquisition – it’s worth watching how current DC releases, including those centered around Batman, will be offered on streaming services.
