You need to watch the brilliant trailer for new psychological drama with stacked cast

The brilliant trailer for new psychological drama After the Hunt has been released.

In this latest film, we find a stellar ensemble with Julia Roberts, Andrew Garfield, and Ayo Edebiri. The plot revolves around a university professor who faces a difficult juncture when a pupil alleges misconduct by one of her peers.

In this gripping scene, I find myself meeting Alma Olsson, played by Roberts, who, together with other esteemed scholars, becomes an unwitting observer of a heated debate between standout student Maggie Price, portrayed by Edebiri, and the charismatic Henrik Gibson, brought to life by Garfield.

In the game of life, I find myself under scrutiny as Michael Stuhlbarg’s character questions my methods, implying that I favor those who idolize me instead of choosing based on merit. Meanwhile, I’m caught up in a secret romance with Henrik, adding another layer of complexity to my existence.

Later, Maggie, looking troubled, slips away only to be located by Alma. Alma confronts Henrik, claiming he’s overstepped boundaries, causing her to grapple with whom to trust.

As a dedicated fan, I can’t help but feel a chill run down my spine as I ponder over the intriguing summary that hints at a hidden truth from my own history being exposed.

In addition to the previously mentioned celestial bodies, “After the Hunt” features Chloë Sevigny, who was in “Boys Don’t Cry.” Meanwhile, director Luca Guadagnino of “Call Me by Your Name” is at the helm for this film, working from a script penned by Nora Garrett.

The filming for the movie was done last year, as confirmed by Edebiri during pre-production, which she announced through a table read cast photo shared on Instagram.

Lately, Edebiri’s calendar has been filled to the brim. Not too long ago, the fourth season of her highly successful series, The Bear, was unveiled, and more recently, she graced our screens in the suspenseful movie Opus earlier this year.

Guadagnino continues to maintain a hectic pace, having released films titled “Challengers” and “Queer” last year, and with productions like “Artificial” and “Find Me” upcoming on his agenda.

After the Hunt is due out in US cinemas on 17 October.

The latest print edition of Digital Spy is available! You can purchase “Oasis – Live in ’25” from newsstands or online for only £8.99.
