You need to see Kristen Bell’s hilarious Frozen parody that wowed SAG Awards viewers
Last night at the Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards, Kristen Bell amused both attendees and viewers with a side-splitting spoof of the movie “Frozen.
In the Disney-animated film and its follow-up, the character who played the role of “Nobody Wants This” was actually Anna, Elsa’s sister.
At the live broadcast of the awards ceremony on Netflix, Bell performed a fresh rendition of the Frozen song “Do You Want to Build a Snowman?” entitled “Do You Want to Be an Actor?” This adaptation reminisced about the initial roles of some of today’s most celebrated stars, as the camera switched to their responses at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles.
The tune provided an embarrassing stroll down memory lane for Jamie Lee Curtis as Laurie Strode in Halloween, and Timothée Chalamet while he was on Royal Pains.
The song brought back an awkward walk down memory lane for both Jamie Lee Curtis (as Laurie Strode) in Halloween, and Timothée Chalamet during his stint on Royal Pains.
The montage also flashed back to the daytime soap operas of Demi Moore and Kathy Bates, showcased one of Hiroyuki Sanada’s early roles from the series Shōgun, and reminded viewers that Zoe Saldaña once co-starred with Britney Spears in Crossroads.
Of course, the song ended on Bell’s very own ‘Do You Want to Be an Actor?’ moment.
Spectators lauded the unexpectedly heartfelt part, as one individual commented on YouTube, “Kristen Bell could host anything; her charm is infectious in every role she plays.
They seemed to really enjoy the way the song lyrics were displayed, making it feel like a Karaoke video. They mentioned they plan to watch it again.
What a lovely thought! It’s hard to imagine the thrill that actors must feel when they see themselves as one of those famous household names, recalling their very first acting role. That must truly feel like coming full circle for them.
A bystander commented, ‘Gazing upon these stars, I feel like I’m witnessing their initial performances and traveling back in time.’ It adds a sense of humanity to them. Sometimes they appear quite emotional, which is charming.
As a dedicated fan, I couldn’t help but feel an overwhelming sense of pride as Conclave swept the awards, clinching the Best Ensemble Cast accolade! The night was truly magical as Moore and Chalamet shone brightest, each taking home the Best Actress and Actor trophies respectively. And let’s not forget our amazing supporting players, Zoe Saldaña and Kieran Culkin, who also left their mark with their well-deserved victories in the Supporting Actors categories. It was a truly unforgettable evening!
