‘Presence’

Under the authorship of David Koepp and the guidance of Steven Soderbergh, the film titled Presence delves into a chilling supernatural thriller genre. The narrative focuses on the Payne family’s journey towards healing from a harrowing past event. Following their relocation to a century-old suburban residence, they start noticing peculiar anomalies. Yet, it isn’t long before a menacing spirit makes its malevolent presence known.

Instead of adhering to the typical narrative style found in similar ghost genre films, Presence deviates by presenting its chilling tale from the viewpoint of a malevolent spirit. This spectral entity gracefully navigates through passageways and chambers, effectively terrorizing the latest inhabitants of the house. The film features an impressive cast including Lucy Liu, Chris Sullivan, Callina Liang, Eddy Maday, West Mulholland, and Julia Fox. Presence will be available for streaming on June 3rd.

National Anthem” – A Drama Exploring Dylan’s (Charlie Plummer) Pursuit of the American Dream

In this captivating drama, Dylan, a New Mexico construction worker, embarks on a journey to find his unique interpretation of the American dream. His path takes an unexpected turn when he lands a job at a ranch inhabited by a lively group of queer rodeo performers. Embraced by this community that openly embraces their identities and sexuality, Dylan starts defining his own identity. He is particularly captivated by Sky (Eve Lindley), a spirited and powerful individual who develops a profound connection with Dylan as they navigate the raw forces of nature, family, and love against the stunning landscapes of the American Southwest.

‘Predator: Killer of Killers’

Under the direction of Dan Trachtenberg, the adult-animated film titled “Predator: Hunter’s Prey” offers a fresh take in the Predator universe. The story revolves around three historical figures known for their ferocity as they encounter the deadliest predator in existence. These characters include a Viking raider leading her son on a gory mission, a ninja in feudal Japan clashing with his Samurai brother over succession, and a World War II pilot probing an extraterrestrial menace. As they engage this formidable adversary, each will find themselves hunted, pitted against their toughest foe yet. “Predator: Hunter’s Prey” is set to stream on June 6th.

The storyline revolves around a darkly humorous and suspenseful tale centering on Hope Goldman (Elizabeth Banks), a renowned aesthetician on the verge of launching her own skincare brand. But just as she’s about to make her grand entrance, a rival, Angel Vergara (Luis Gerardo Méndez), opens a shop right opposite hers, stirring up a series of troubles for Hope.

After facing harassment from an unidentified person, she begins to suspect that Angel could be the one causing the trouble. With her reputation and career at risk, she and her life coach Jordan (Lewis Pullman) set out on a journey to discover who is trying to undermine her. The Skincare series premieres on June 17th.

‘Barbara Walters Tell Me Everything’

The documentary, titled “Barbara Walters Tell Me Everything,” delves into the extraordinary life and career of Barbara Walters, a trailblazer in the realm of broadcast journalism. This film offers insights into sexism, ambition, and the hurdles she overcame to attain such great success. I’m thrilled to share that “The Actor,” a film masterfully directed by Duke Johnson, features captivating performances by an ensemble cast including Gemma Chan, May Calamawy, Joe Cole, Fabien Frankel, Toby Jones, Youssef Kerkour, Simon McBurney, and Tracey Ullman. This cinematic gem received overwhelmingly positive reviews upon its theatrical debut and has managed to impress audiences with a 90% audience rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Mark your calendars for June 30 as “The Actor” will be streaming near you!
