In the popular series Squid Game, we had wished for Gi-hun to dismantle the games from within. However, it seems a different character might accomplish this task in season 3. Since the conclusion of season 1, there was a theory that Gi-hun would join the pink guards in season 2 and secretly undermine the deadly competition. Yet, that wasn’t the case; instead, Gi-hun returned as Player 456 and attempted to rally his fellow contestants against the Front Man and guards during an uprising. Regrettably, this rebellion was not successful.
In the conclusion of Squid Game Season 2, Gi-hun almost managed to gain access to the Front Man’s command center, but he was thwarted by none other than the Front Man himself, disguised as Player 001. The teaser for Squid Game Season 3 shows that Gi-hun will be returned to the player dormitory and forced to carry on with the games. It appears that this Squid Game protagonist may not triumph in defeating the games at present. However, subtle clues within the Squid Game Season 3 trailer hint at who might step up to become the new hero instead.
Jun-Hee’s Baby Will Probably Inspire Kang No-Eul To Take Down The Games
The Squid Game Season 3 Trailer Hints That Jun-Hee’s Baby Will Be Born
In a twist from the original Squid Game series, the second season introduced a new character, Kang No-eul, who is a guard. Originally a North Korean defector, she took on this role to gather funds to find her daughter whom she had to leave behind as an infant. Given her sympathetic background, fans speculated that she might replace Gi-hun as the hero in future seasons. The recently released trailer for season 3 offers hints about how this could unfold.
In the concluding scenes of the trailer for Squid Game season 3, a baby’s cry can be distinctly heard. This suggests that Jun-hee, who was pregnant during the events of season 2, will likely give birth in the upcoming episodes. It remains uncertain how a newborn will factor into the games, but it appears improbable that the Front Man would halt the games solely due to a competitor giving birth. Given that they allowed Jun-hee to participate while she was pregnant, it’s unlikely that the baby’s life holds any significance for them. However, No-eul is certain to have a unique perspective on this matter.
In the second season of “Squid Game,” we saw a lot of No-eul’s kindness towards children. She grew particularly fond of Park Gyeong-seok’s sick daughter, as she herself yearns for reunification with her own child. The sight of another mother and child in the games is bound to evoke strong feelings in her. If Jun-hee’s baby is born in season 3, it’s highly likely that No-eul will try to intervene or save the situation.
No-Eul Can Do What We All Hoped Gi-Hun Would In Squid Game Season 3
Gi-Hun Is Unlikely To Be The Hero In The End
In the second season of Squid Game, it wasn’t unexpected that Gi-hun’s rebellion didn’t have a significant impact. Given the focus on his character, it seemed unlikely he could make a strong move without being stopped first. Instead, it appears that No-eul will take on the role I had hoped for Gi-hun in season 3.
In the series “Squid Game,” No-eul is relatively unknown among the masked guards. It’s unclear if she participated in the battles at the end of season 2, or her current whereabouts amidst all the turmoil. However, when the VIPs arrive for the climax of the games, No-eul could be strategically positioned to strike a blow against The Front Man and his associates, affecting them significantly. The main issue lies in motivation. For No-eul to take action beyond her personal interests, she must have something more at stake, like Jun-hee’s baby, which seems likely to play a crucial role in the final episodes of “Squid Game.
