Mark Waters, known for directing both and , is currently working on a film centered around chocolate for his next project. The biographical movie titled Hershey, which follows the lives of the founders of the Hershey Company, has recently recruited an actor from the hit series Succession to join its cast.

In the upcoming film titled “Hershey,” it has been confirmed that Emmy-nominated actor Alan Ruck, best recognized for his roles as Connor Roy in “Succession” and Cameron Frye in “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off” (1986), will be joining the cast. Additionally, Richard Kind, David Costabile from “Billions,” and Heléne Yorke from “The Other Two” have also been added to the roster. The movie will also star Alexandra Daddario and Finn Wittrock as chocolatiers Kitty and Milton Hershey respectively.

The film titled “Hershey” is being guided by Waters from a screenplay penned by Sharon Paul and Timothy Michael Hayes. At present, this movie is under production in the state of Pennsylvania, where the Hershey Company originates. Notably, “Hershey” centers around the life story of Milton Hershey, who established both the Hershey Company and the Milton Hershey School in Pennsylvania. This narrative serves as an inspiring rags-to-riches tale.

Information about the actors’ characters is being held secret for now, but it’s rumored that Ruck is set to play Henry Hershey, Milton’s father. In 2023, he received an Emmy nomination for his role in [a specific show]. Kind will depict Joseph Royer, a candy maker who offered a young Milton Hershey his initial job within the industry. Costabile is said to take on the role of Tobias Thornhill, a malevolent competitor candy maker, and York will portray Margaret, Kitty Hershey’s closest friend.

The cast of Hershey features Michael Moreland Milligan (), Francesca Fairdany (Manifest), Daniel David Stewart (Catch-22), and Dina Spybey-Waters (Just Like Heaven). This production is a joint effort between Dandelion Media, Hershey Entities, Aloe Entertainment, Peachtree Group, and RCM3.

Working with Sharon Paul are Mark Tilghman, Mary Aloe, Joshua Harris, and Will Hardy as fellow producers. Overseeing the project are executive producers Daniel Hank, Joseph Lanius, Flip and Susan Flippen, and Joanne Marlowe. The international rights for Hershey are managed by the UTA Independent Film Group.

At that point, Waters stated that the movie would depict a love tale revolving around the chocolate company’s founder and his spouse, as well as a narrative about a pair striving to make a positive impact on their lives by creating an enduring legacy.
