On Tuesday night in London, the iconic members of ABBA, Frida Lyngstad and Benny Andersson, unexpectedly showed up during the band’s Voyage performance.

The married Swedish celebrities, together from 1978 to 1981, received a standing ovation as they delivered unexpected speeches prior to their virtual counterparts performing on stage.

79-year-old Frida dazzled in a stylish cream outfit while pairing up with 78-year-old pianist Benny, who chose a trendy printed jacket, on the balcony. However, Agnetha Fältskog, 75, and Björn Ulvaeus, 80, who were once bandmates and were also previously married, were not in attendance at this occasion.

In a heartfelt manner, she addressed the crowd: “I appreciate you deeply for your unwavering support through the years. It’s almost astonishing to think that we’re nearing half a century.

Instead of saying, “I’m turning 80 this year” with applause from the crowd before signing off with ‘I love you thank you’, consider saying something like, “This year marks my 80th birthday, and I want to express my gratitude for your love and support.” This maintains the sentiment of the original statement but is more naturally conversational.

With the microphone in hand, Benny feigned telling an off-color jest, saying, “Two fellows stroll into a tavern,” which left Frida in fits of laughter.

Despite being a couple prior to ABBA’s official formation, maintaining their relationship throughout the band’s prosperity proved challenging, and ultimately, the pressures led to the band’s disbandment as a result of their divorce.

In the vibrant year of 1969, I found myself crossing paths with a remarkable individual named Benny. We started our shared journey by cohabiting, eventually deepening our bond and tying the knot in 1978 – right smack in the middle of ABBA’s meteoric rise to global stardom.

Two years later, in 1980, they broke up and divorced the following year.

In a 1981 interview with Expressen, Benny shared his thoughts, saying, “I can’t fathom how others handle situations like these.

Frida and I remain close pals, and I continue to be part of ABBA. While our marital bond has dissolved, our friendship endures.

In our conversation, we considered what would continue within our group despite everything we’ve experienced so far. Ultimately, we chose to stick together, driven by our shared love and passion for music.

After our separation, Benny and I find it easier to collaborate effectively. Although our connection isn’t as passionate as before, we remain in touch.

We’ve opted for full transparency in our interactions. Our history together has been marked by unwavering honesty in matters of relationship, and following lengthy and deep discussions, we’ve mutually agreed to part ways.

Over time, our lives started to diverge due to differing life aspirations. Despite our open communication and honesty, we found ourselves on separate paths. After numerous discussions, we mutually decided that a divorce would serve as the most amicable resolution for us both.

There were many emotional moments, intense talks, but unfortunately, it couldn’t be avoided. It became essential to part ways.

And so it seemed the band had to break up too.

2022 saw the introduction of ABBA Voyage, a unique experience featuring digital versions of the band performing beloved hits like “Dancing Queen” and “Waterloo” through holographic technology.

And the recreation of music legends is likely to be a huge hit with fans and the economy.

A recently published report discloses the favorable financial outcomes stemming from the Swedes’ innovative project based in London, their latest endeavor.

In Queen Elizabeth Park in east London, where the 2012 Olympics once took place, a well-known attraction now showcases a band made up of four digital characters as their representations.

According to a recent study, it appears that ABBA is certainly raking in a lot of cash, as suggested by one of their popular songs.

ABBA’s holographic performance, titled ABBA Voyage, has injected approximately £322 million into the UK economy, as over a million tickets have been sold for prices ranging up to £181.50 each.
