Deborra-Lee Furness has formally submitted divorce papers from her former husband, Hugh Jackman, following almost two years since they revealed their unexpected separation.
Exclusive report from DailyMail.com: It’s been uncovered that Furness submitted a complaint in New York on May 23rd, and according to court documents, all issues have reportedly been resolved discreetly.
In the divorce case, documents filed by Furness’ attorney, Elena Karabatos, encompass a healthcare coverage extension notice, a suggested Qualified Medical Child Support Order, the settlement agreement, a draft of divorce judgment, and a certificate for dissolution.
All that needs to be done now is for the judge to sign off on the judgement.
In simpler terms, Furness, who shares two adopted kids with the actor known for playing Wolverine, is reportedly receiving a substantial amount of alimony upon the dissolution of their 27-year long marriage. There won’t be any expected turmoil or drama in this process, according to an insider.
According to an exclusive source, DailyMail.com learned that Deborra is content with the resolution, which involves a substantial alimony payment. There were negotiations about the financial terms, but ultimately, she felt she was fairly compensated. Both parties will emerge from this situation financially stable.

‘There is not going to be any drama with this gives closure that she needed.’
The divorce is being described as ‘uncontested’, which means there wasn’t a significant argument or dispute between the pair who are getting divorced.
They’ve already figured out all the specifics ahead of time, including a settlement, child support, and financial arrangements for their kids’ future, according to them.
‘They are amicable and they are both fully committed to being the best parents that they can be.’
Jackman, currently in a relationship with Sutton Foster, appears to be excited about what’s ahead and not dwelling on the past.
In January, it was exclusively revealed by DailyMail.com that the divorcing couple were still not filing documents due to disagreements over whether or not to discard their prenuptial agreement.
At the given point, those within the group predicted a potentially complicated situation, as they found it difficult to fairly distribute their approximate $250 million wealth.
A source close to Jackman mentioned that one major factor preventing them from filing is because there was no prenuptial agreement in place before their union.

In our wedding bliss, we both believed our bond was eternal, isn’t that the dream for everyone? Initially, neither of us fathomed that Hugh’s professional journey would skyrocket as much as it did.
Since they didn’t have a prenuptial agreement and he amassed a significant wealth during their marriage, this divorce is likely to be complex rather than straightforward. It could potentially become contentious because the financial stakes are high. Many intricate details need to be addressed and a substantial amount of money is at play.
Despite the insider’s assertion that they aimed to make things as straightforward as possible, it turned out that, following three decades together and one partner achieving megastar status, the situation wasn’t nearly as simple as they had hoped.
By March, tensions were running high as they found it difficult to come to terms about the distribution of their belongings, according to a source who shared this information with DailyMail.com.
According to a source, Hugh and Deborra-Lee haven’t filed for divorce yet as they’re finding it hard to agree on the division of their possessions. It seems that Deborra-Lee believes she deserves more financial compensation than Hugh is prepared to provide.
I couldn’t help but be consumed by the persistent rumors that her quest for a larger share of our projected wealth was ignited by the enigmatic beginnings of my relationship with the illustrious Broadway star, Foster.
In my perspective, although there was no physical infidelity with Sutton, I firmly believe that there may have been an emotional entanglement instead. This, to me, equates to a betrayal of the deepest kind, as it undermined the trust and emotional connection we shared.
During the challenging times of the Covid pandemic, my marriage began to strain, as previously reported by DailyMail.com. This coincided with the blossoming of a friendship between me and my costar on the 2022 Broadway revival of The Music Man, Jackman, at a time when I was still married to Ted Griffin.

In an unexpected announcement made public in September 2023, Furness and Jackman shared the news of their marriage coming to an end. They explained that they felt it was necessary for them to “move apart” and make space for personal development, choosing to “go separate ways to focus on our individual growth”.
Initially, whispers arose suggesting Jackman and Foster were romantically involved. Eventually, they validated these rumors in January, leading many fans to believe it was a carefully planned photo opportunity as they exited a Los Angeles eatery holding hands.
Furness and Jackman initially crossed paths in the year 1995 on the Australian television series Correlli. At that time, she had already established herself as a leading actress, while he was still new to the scene, having just graduated from drama school.
Four months down the line, he expressed his intent, revealing in 2018 that from just two weeks into meeting Furness, it was clear to him they would spend the remainder of their lives together.
Back in the vibrant city of Melbourne, Australia, I exchanged vows in a heartwarming ceremony in April 1996. Fast forward to the new millennium, our family expanded with the adoption of our beloved son, Oscar, in the year 2000. At the tender age of 4, Oscar is now a 24-year-old young man. Five years later, we welcomed another precious member into our fold, our daughter Ava, who is now 19 years old. Together, they complete our beautifully crafted family unit.
Ever since I became Mrs. Jackman, let me tell you, he’s been raking in a small fortune that makes my eyes pop! We’re talking about a cool $200 million here, all thanks to his unforgettable role as Wolverine in Marvel’s blockbuster comic book series!
In 2017, he relinquished the role in Logan; however, he brought back the character – and stole the limelight at the box office – in 2020 by appearing alongside his longtime buddy Ryan Reynolds in Deadpool and Wolverine.
