Prepare yourself for plenty of NCIS episodes coming this fall! Not only will the main series, NCIS: Origins and NCIS: Sydney, return as part of CBS’ 2025-2026 TV lineup, but the spinoff NCIS: Tony & Ziva is also set to debut exclusively for Paramount+ subscribers around the same time on the 2025 schedule. With many fans eagerly anticipating this newest addition to the procedural franchise, given their fondness for Tony DiNozzo and Ziva David during their original NCIS days, it seems that excitement might be an understatement. That’s because NCIS: Tony & Ziva has already shattered a Paramount+ record months before its premiere!
The debut trailer for “NCIS: Tony & Ziva” was released earlier this month, and according to Nielsen (as reported by Deadline), it garnered an impressive 93 million views in total over its first five days of release. This includes 26.5 million views on YouTube and platforms like TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and X, as well as 13 million views on digital platforms such as Paramount+. Notably, this makes it the most watched Season 1 trailer for any Paramount+ series in these categories.

Experience the latest episodes of “NCIS: Tony & Ziva” by subscribing to Paramount+, where you can also access all other NCIS shows. Choose between the Essential plan for $7.99/month or the ad-free Premium plan for $12.99/month, which doubles your content library with Showtime included. Check out this deal now!
As a passionate film enthusiast, let me share my excitement: This is truly remarkable! Not only does it stand out on its own, but it’s even more impressive when you consider the staggering 53.5 million views garnered by the NCIS: Tony & Ziva trailer during broadcast, particularly since it was shown alongside the Season 22 finale of NCIS. This incredible viewership has made it the most-watched trailer for an NCIS series since the franchise debuted in 2003. Considering that social media platforms and YouTube were only around during that time, this achievement is truly noteworthy.

As a devout fan, I can’t help but revel in the captivating debuts of NCIS’s Michael Weatherly and Cote De Pablo. However, among all the dramatic moments, my personal favorite is when Tony manages to make Tali laugh – it’s simply delightful!
Brian Dietzen, from NCIS, recently hinted at reasons for fans to be thrilled about the potential Tony and Ziva spinoff: ‘I’m not allowed to reveal much, but…’
As I mentioned previously, this is a clear demonstration of the excitement surrounding the return of Tony and Ziva onscreen together after more than ten years. Although Michael Weatherly and Cote de Pablo later made brief appearances on NCIS following their departures as main cast members, it’s now time for them to shine again. Interestingly enough, despite the series being titled NCIS: Tony & Ziva, they won’t be resuming their roles at the law enforcement agency this time around.
Rather than that, the new series focuses on Tony and Ziva evading their pursuers in Europe following an attack on Tony’s security firm. Along their journey, they’ll be juggling parenthood for their daughter Tali, who debuted in NCIS Season 13 finale and is portrayed by Isla Gie. The ensemble cast also includes Amita Suman, Lara Rossi, Maximilian Osinski, Julian Ovenden, James D’Arcy, Nassima Benchicou, Terence Maynard, and Emmanuel Bonami.
Off-camera, Michael Weatherly and Cote de Pablo are jointly overseeing production, along with showrunner John McNamara, Laurie Lieser, Christina Strain, Shelley Meals, and Mairzee Almas. According to McNamara, the current plan is for a single season of 10 episodes for NCIS: Tony & Ziva. However, if the show’s trailer garners the same level of success as it has already, it seems likely that Paramount+ would at least consider discussions about a potential second season.
