The movie “Karate Kid: Legends” was an absolute delight for fans of the Cobra Kai and Karate Kid universe. It not only combined the Karate Kid film series but also brought Daniel LaRusso (played by Ralph Macchio) and Mr. Han (Jackie Chan) together on-screen for the first time ever. Additionally, this Sony production pays a heartfelt tribute to the life and legacy of the fictional martial artist who initiated this lineage, Mr. Miyagi, whose character was brought to life by the late actor Pat Morita in the initial four films.
Although the movie itself didn’t explicitly tie up loose ends for future installments, a hint of what’s to come might have been given through the final scene, and Cobra Kai enthusiasts should be excited about it. The Karate Kid: Legends is currently showing in cinemas.
Karate Kid: Legends End-Credit Scene Brings Back A Beloved Character
Warning – The rest of this article contains spoilers for Karate Kid: Legends.
In simpler terms, the post-credit scene takes place immediately following the closing credits and starts at a pizzeria belonging to Victor Lapani (Joshua Jackson) in New York City. A pizza order gets delivered, eventually winding up at Daniel’s location in California.
Upon opening the pizza box, I found not just a frozen delight, but also a photo of Li Wong (Ben Wang) triumphantly celebrating his Five Boroughs Tournament win, with Mr. Han and Daniel by his side, supporting him all the way to victory. And tucked inside was a heartfelt note from Li himself: “Should you ever require my assistance, remember, I am always within reach.
Stepping into the Miyagi-Do dojo, once Mr. Miyagi’s humble abode, I find Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka) casually lounging there, a Coors beer in hand. Spotting the pizza, I jest about the potential of setting up a Miyagi Hut, a Pizza Hut-inspired venture. However, Daniel swiftly nixes the idea.
To summarize, at the end, the skilled senseis from Cobra Kai united and Johnny emerged victorious in the Sekai Tai competition. Eventually, they came to understand and value their distinct martial art techniques, merging their methods to instruct a combined class.
This post-credit scene confirms that three years since their decision, the partnership between these two is still intact and they haven’t destroyed the dojo yet. If a series set in current times continues, it will delve into what Daniel and Johnny would be like as joint senseis, exploring the highs and lows of their collaboration.

A Cobra Kai Spin-Off May Be Coming Sooner Than Later
The notion for a “Cobra Kai” spin-off didn’t originate from fans. Instead, it was generated by the cast and team behind the Netflix show prior to the conclusion of “Cobra Kai” in Season 6, Part 3.
According to an exclusive report from TopMob, Jon Hurwitz, the executive producer of the show, has revealed that talks about the future of the franchise are underway.
Essentially, we have numerous options before us for what actions to take, but they must align with the preferences of our collaborators at Sony and Netflix. Among these possibilities are modern adaptations that follow on from the events in ‘Cobra Kai.’
As a film enthusiast, I can’t help but ponder over the limitless opportunities that lie ahead in the world of martial arts entertainment. Will the next series delve into the lives of the cherished Cobra Kai students after college? Perhaps it will retrace Li Wong’s intricate journey, offering a deeper understanding of his character? Or maybe it will present us with a fresh wave of aspiring martial artists, ready to make their mark in the dojo. The choices are endless!
However, the post-credit sequence in Karate Kid: Legends makes it clear that regardless of the creative team’s decision, Johnny and Daniel will continue to be a part of the storyline.
