Silent Hill: Revelation will begin streaming on Tubi

Silent Hill: Revelation is slated to release for free on Tubi on January 9, 2026.

The 2012 horror movie Silent Hill: Revelation 3D features a well-known cast, including Kit Harington, Sean Bean, and Carrie-Anne Moss. Directed and written by M.J. Bassett, it’s a sequel to the 2006 film Silent Hill. The story centers on Heather Mason, played by Adelaide Clemens, who finds herself drawn to the mysterious, foggy town of Silent Hill just as she turns eighteen.

Although it cost $20 million to make, the movie Silent Hill: Revelation received largely negative reviews from both critics and fans. It only earned an 8% rating from critics and 35% from audiences on Rotten Tomatoes. However, the film still made around $56 million worldwide, making it profitable. The original Silent Hill movie performed better, earning $100 million on a $50 million budget.

Making Silent Hill: Revelation was a difficult process. While Christophe Gans, who directed the first movie, was initially planned to return, he was busy with a different film. Roger Avary, the first film’s writer, agreed to come back, but he had to serve a year in jail after being convicted of vehicular manslaughter.

Christophe Gans is directing the new movie, Return to Silent Hill, which is based on the beloved Konami video game Silent Hill 2. Jeremy Irvin will play James Sunderland, with Hannah Emily Anderson as Mary and Evie Templeton as Laura.
