‘You are my life’: Sir David Beckham extends the biggest olive branch yet to estranged son Brooklyn as former footballer pays tribute to his family in emotional New Year’s Eve post

David Beckham shared a heartfelt message on Instagram about his wife, Victoria, and their children, calling them his ‘life.’ He also sent a message to his oldest son, who wasn’t present.

Trying to mend their strained relationship, former soccer star David Beckham shared a New Year’s Eve family photo that included his son, Brooklyn Beckham.

Throughout the year, Brooklyn has missed all the important family gatherings, such as his father’s 50th birthday and his investiture at Windsor Castle.

The popular chef also wasn’t able to attend the premiere of his mother’s successful Netflix show. He also missed his mother’s yearly fashion shows in Paris, New York, and London, as he spent most of the year in the United States with his wife, Nicola Peltz.

Sir David, age 50, seemed eager to smooth things over and connect with people by sharing family photos on Instagram, including a picture of his teenage son, Brooklyn.

Captioning the shot, he wrote: ‘I love you all so much.’ 

The photoshoot also included pictures of the former soccer player with his sons Romeo and Cruz, and his daughter Harper. The last photo showed his wife, Victoria, and all four of their children, accompanied by the message: ‘You are my life.’

That day, Sir David looked back on the past year, expressing his gratitude for milestones like his 50th birthday and being knighted. He said it was a year he would never forget.

David Beckham, a co-owner of Inter Miami, posted a series of 20 photos on Instagram highlighting key moments planned for 2025, and none of them featured Brooklyn.

He did share photos showing Romeo, Cruz, and Harper enjoying family vacations and celebrations over the last year.

He shared some photos and wrote about how grateful he was for his incredible year in 2025. He highlighted celebrating his 50th birthday, receiving a knighthood (which he still can’t quite believe!), and finishing the year with his team winning the MLS championship as an owner.

Sir David expressed his gratitude to his wife, Victoria, and their children in his message, but unlike previous times, he didn’t mention them by name.

Honestly, hearing him talk after the game just wrecked me in the best way! He mentioned Sir Alex, of course – you knew he would – but then he went on about his family and team. It was so sweet! He said he’s unbelievably grateful to his wife and kids, and everyone he works with daily, saying he couldn’t have done any of this without them. It just… it got me right here, you know? Like, he’s not just an incredible player, he’s a genuinely good person. I’m completely obsessed, obviously.

As Sir Alex Ferguson always said, it’s time to move forward. I’ll always cherish the incredible memories from 2025. Victoria, I love you and our children.

The post featured photos of David’s four dogs: three cocker spaniels named Fig, Sage, and Olive, and a Cockapoo named Simba.

Lady Victoria publicly supported her husband by reposting his message and adding a loving note: ‘We are all so proud of you and love you very much!’

This follows Brooklyn and Nicola’s decision to skip the Beckhams’ traditional Christmas celebration in the Cotswolds, choosing to spend the holiday in the United States instead.

The actress shared that she really enjoyed relaxing at home over the weekend, now that filming on her new thriller, Pretty Ugly, is finished.

Despite growing criticism from fans who want him to reconcile with his family, the couple continues to present a united front.
