Yostar Games to launch original IP with new development team for mobile in Japan

As a seasoned gaming enthusiast with a decade-long journey through the virtual worlds of Aether Gazer, Azur Lane, Arknights, and Blue Archive, I can’t help but feel a palpable sense of anticipation at Yostar Games’ announcement to venture into original mobile game development. Their proven track record in publishing RPGs has always left me craving for more, and this new endeavor promises an exciting twist to their story.

As an ardent supporter, I’m thrilled to share that Yostar Games, based right in Chiyoda, is gearing up for the launch of a completely fresh intellectual property! This exciting venture will be spearheaded by their newly established development team hailing from Japan, with a specific focus on mobile gaming.

For this new endeavor, Yostar is currently searching for an ideal candidate to fill the role of Lead Game Designer. According to the job specifications, the Lead will be in charge of supervising the entire game development lifecycle, from pre-production to post-launch activities. This position involves strategic planning, quality assurance, team leadership, and decision-making based on crucial performance metrics (KPIs).

Yostar Games is shifting focus to game development after its success in publishing

In the announcement we discussed, Yostar is making a change from focusing mainly on game publishing to developing their own intellectual properties. Their track record as publishers is impressive, with hits like Aether Gazer, Azur Lane, Arknights, and Blue Archive under their belt.

Yet, Yostar isn’t new to game development; they have delved into it before, specifically with the creation of “Nekoparaiten”, a mobile game featuring anime-style neko romance simulation, which has been under development since 2019. However, there seems to be a significant lack of updates on its progress. To put it mildly, six years have passed since the last update was shared.

The real intrigue right now is about what this fresh game could possibly be. Although we might guess it as “Heaven Burns Red”, given its impending English release, that wouldn’t count as a brand new intellectual property. Given their impressive history of releasing RPGs, it wouldn’t be shocking if they introduce a new role-playing title instead.
