Playtonic has disclosed that Shovel Knight, the shovel-wielding hero from Yacht Club Games, will make a comeback in the upcoming game titled “Yooka-Replaylee“. This new appearance comes with an enhanced adventure, referred to as a “new and improved quest”, which players can embark on in exchange for one of the game’s sought-after items called ‘Pagies’.
Shovel Knight is set to appear in the upcoming game Yooka-Replaylee (currently without a release date), sporting a fresh new look. He’ll be using his trusty shovel blade on his own adventure. Additionally, developer Playtonic has hinted at more surprises as they celebrate their ten-year anniversary, promising to share something “very exciting” soon.
The announcement hints that he’ll get his chance,” Yooka-Laylee is coming to Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC, possibly by the end of this year. Fingers crossed for a definite release date soon. Until then, watch Shovel Knight in the trailer below.
