Yes, there’s another Dexter spin-off, and it just announced some huge casting news
Dexter‘s upcoming third spin-off Dexter: Resurrection has announced some major casting news.
The fresh series continues the storyline of the infamous serial killer, featuring Michael C. Hall reprising his role.
It’s been officially announced that a fresh addition is coming to our team, and it’s none other than beloved ‘Game of Thrones’ star, Peter Dinklage.
Actor Peter Dinklage, known for his portrayal of Tyrion Lannister, is set to embody Leon Prater – a self-made billionaire investor, who maintains an image of elegance and benevolence in the public eye, yet conceals a troubling past.
It has been confirmed that Uma Thurman from “Kill Bill” will join the cast. Her character, Charlie, is a former Special Forces member who currently oversees the security at Prater.
In addition, it has been confirmed that David Zayas will return to play Detective Angel Batista, Jack Alcott will be taking on the role of Dexter’s son Harrison Morgan once more, and James Remar is set to reprise his character as Dexter’s deceased father Harry Morgan.
In the summer, the sequel titled “Resurrection” – following up on “Dexter: New Blood,” which was itself a continuation of the initial series – is scheduled to air.
As a dedicated gamer, I’ve been eagerly waiting for the debut of the prequel series, “Dexter: Original Sin.” This gripping tale unfolds over the past, and it all culminates this coming Friday (February 14). Can’t wait to see how it ends!
As a gaming enthusiast, I can’t help but get excited about this upcoming show where I, as the protagonist, find myself in a world filled with stars from my favorite shows! Patrick Gibson, who I know from Shadow and Bone, takes on the role of a young Dexter. Plus, there’s Patrick Dempsey from Grey’s Anatomy, Christian Slater from Mr Robot, Christina Milian, and even Sarah Michelle Gellar from Buffy the Vampire Slayer. This is going to be one amazing adventure!
Regarding Buffy, Gellar has hinted at the possibility of a revival for this legendary show.
She posted on Instagram, “It’s been quite a journey so far, and it’s not done just yet. Rest assured, we won’t produce this show unless we feel confident we can get it just right. I can tell you, we’re definitely moving in the right direction.
Dexter: Original Sin is airing on Paramount+.
