Yellowstone vet Lainey Wilson is working with an A-list country songbird who has a link to Blake Shelton for a tune on her album Whirlwind

As a dedicated fan of country music, I am thrilled to hear that Lainey Wilson is collaborating with Miranda Lambert on her upcoming album Whirlwind. This exciting announcement comes after Wilson revealed that she was inspired by Taylor Swift at a young age and the two have mutual respect for each other’s talents.

Country music star Lainey Wilson is working with a new A-list talent.

Actress Katee Sackhoff, known for her role in Yellowstone, is teaming up with the striking blond, connected to Blake Shelton, for her upcoming album titled Whirlwind.

On Taylor’s announcement on Tuesday, she revealed her upcoming collaboration with Miranda Lambert on their fresh track titled “Good Horses.” It’s set to drop this coming Friday, August 2nd.

Wilson, Lambert, and Luke Dick wrote this song together. 

For the very first time, I’ve had the privilege of working alongside Wilson on one of her personal projects. This marks an exciting milestone as it’s also our inaugural duet together as artists.

Whirlwind is set to drop on August 23.

This comes after she talked Taylor Swift.

During the red carpet event for the release of the latest disaster movie “Twisters” in Los Angeles, the singer was delighted to learn that Swift has long admired her music, and their appreciation for each other goes back years.

When I was only 14 years old, I had the chance to see her perform at CMA Fest on the Riverfront stage. She was around 15 at the time. I was deeply impressed and remember thinking, “This girl has a promising future.” At that moment, there weren’t many people in the audience besides me and my family. Now, as a 32-year-old, I still recall that experience with enthusiasm.

Wilson remarked, “I had to share that with her. To which she replied, ‘Oh, it seemed like around sixteen individuals were present.’ I responded, ‘But remember, we only made up a quarter of the group.'”

After finishing high school in Baskin, Louisiana, where she grew up, Wilson, who is now 32 years old, relocated to Nashville, Tennessee, with the goal of launching a successful country music career.

That’s when the singer-songwriter got to catch Swift at the CMA Fest.

Despite a small crowd, she was motivated by Swift’s captivating performance at the festival, leaving her feeling inspired.

Previously, it emerged that Wilson had been astonished when she discovered that the 14-time Grammy Award winner admired her music during an episode on the Zach Sang Show podcast.

In my interaction with her, I expressed my deep admiration and thought, “She’s absolutely amazing!” This was my sentiment towards her during that conversation.

The actress from Yellowstone expressed her admiration for Taylor Swift’s remarkable achievements at a young age and her ability to maintain a strong bond with her global fanbase.

As a passionate admirer, I find it utterly captivating to witness her remarkable workings. To me, she epitomizes authority; after catching her performance last year, I walked away feeling profoundly inspired.

After making her first album debut, Swift has gone on to produce a total of eleven studio albums since then. These albums showcase her musical evolution from country music to a blend of country-pop, and eventually transitioning into full-on pop music. More recently, she has explored a folkier style in her music as well.

Apart from this, she’s taken the step of remaking four out of six intended albums to regain control over her music following her disagreement with Scooter Braun, who acquired her entire music library through Big Machine Records.

Inspired by Swift at a young age, Wilson subsequently released her first self-titled album via Cupit Records in 2014. Now, she’s gearing up for the release of her fifth album, Whirlwind, set to drop on August 23.

The two stars have another parallel in that they both are currently dating football players.

Recently, it has been verified that Wilson is in a relationship with Devlin Hodges, a former NFL quarterback who now plays for the Ottawa Redblacks in the Canadian Football League (CFL). Hodges is 28 years old and was previously associated with both the Pittsburgh Steelers and LA Rams.

speaking about Swift, she has been involved in a prominent romance with NFL player Travis Kelce, aged 34, since September 2023.

1. Wilson’s “Country’s Cool Again” Tour, started in May this year, is scheduled to run across North America up until December.

Swift’s The Eras Tour in Europe will carry on until late August, followed by shows in Miami, New Orleans, and Indianapolis in the United States. Afterward, she will conclude her tour in Canada with a performance in Vancouver.

The Eras Tour kicked off in the United States back in March 2023.
