She’s one of the biggest celebrity fans of the hit Western crime series Yellowstone.
On Friday night, Jennifer Lopez experienced an exciting fangirl moment as she spent time with the former cast member of the series, Kevin Costner.
55-year-old artist, both a singer and an actress, and a 69-year-old movie personality were seen savoring beverages at the bar nestled within the famous western clothing retailer, Kemo Sabe, situated in Aspen, Colorado.
Jennifer was seen out and about earlier this evening, shopping with her 16-year-old daughter Emme, both of them sporting fashionable western-style attire.
A few days prior, she was seen in a famous city for celebrities, preparing to spend Christmas with her loved ones, such as her mother Guadalupe and sister Lynda Lopez, among others.
Spending time with the lead actor from one of Jennifer’s beloved TV shows was probably delightful for her, yet it’s said that her deep affection for a show criticized by many left her spouse, Ben Affleck, feeling troubled during their relationship.
As a die-hard fan, I couldn’t help but admire how Jennifer radiated timeless elegance in her cozy winter ensemble. It was a captivating black turtleneck adorned with joyful patterns of reindeer and snowflakes that perfectly captured the holiday spirit.
She stuck to the Western theme with a black cowboy hat placed over her top knot.
She added a splash of color to the muted look with a shaft of turquoise decorated her silver lattice hatband, as well as a black feather that fluttered in the breeze.
Jennifer accessorized elegantly, donning a set of diamond studded Chanel earrings featuring the brand’s double-C emblem.
She was also joined by her child Emme, who uses gender-neutral they/them pronouns.
They donned a black cowboy hat, a long black leather shirt jacket, charcoal denim pants, and black boots – all of which matched their mother’s attire.
Initially, it seemed like Emme had a friend along, but upon closer observation, it turned out to be her twin brother Max who was present in the group.
Jennifer swapped her bulky sweater for a sleek black mock turtleneck during her time at the store.
She could be seen up in the store’s bar as she chatted with friends and Emme.
It appeared that Kevin was conversing with his group, however, the duration of their interaction or the extent of their conversation remained unclear.
In a polished manner, Kevin Costner, both the star and director of Dances With Wolves, sports a striking salt-and-pepper mustache and soul patch. This distinctive style has been his go-to look since his appearance in the less successful Western film Horizon: An American Saga – Chapter 1.
The initial movie out of four planned films garnered both positive and negative feedback from critics and mostly went unnoticed at the box office, even though it featured Kevin who has a large fanbase from “Yellowstone.
It seems that the movies may have strained Kevin’s relationship with Taylor Sheridan, Yellowstone’s co-creator and showrunner, as rumors suggest that Kevin was troubled by persistent delays on the series caused by a scarcity of scripts from Sheridan. Additionally, it has been reported that Kevin asked for a reduced workload in season five to focus on his Horizon film projects.
Costner looked as if he was staying toasty indoors thanks to his brown scar and black jacket.
Jennifer’s affection for Kevin’s show “Yellowstone” seemed unusual to her former partner, Ben Affleck, but he clarified that it was more about the show’s actors rather than his feelings towards her.
During a chat on The Bill Simmons Podcast with his close friend Matt Damon in March 2023, Affleck shared that Jennifer was strongly attracted to the romantic relationship portrayed between Rip Wheeler (performed by Cole Hauser) and Beth Dutton (played by Kelly Reilly), who is Costner’s on-screen daughter.
Ben remembered that Jen had shown him a video from Instagram, featuring a monologue by Reilly in a car with a child discussing various methods to amass wealth. Jen had commented, “I’m really fond of this tale about the two of them.

Remarkably, Matt Damon and Ben Affleck, who were the stars of this film, also co-wrote it. This cinematic masterpiece eventually won them an Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay.
Matt said he ‘was always mystified that Cole wasn’t a giant movie star.
Damon reminisced about working with Hauser when he was 16 years old. He said, “I will always remember this, during our drive back to Boston, ending our first week on set, we were headed towards Cambridge. We looked at each other and joked, ‘Who’s the best actor here?’ Both of us exclaimed simultaneously, ‘Hauser!’
He mentioned that the prospective Yellowstone star was “truly astonishing,” overflowing with “untamed skill” and possessing an “incredibly kind spirit.

Ben added that Cole was ‘very convincing’ on Yellowstone. ‘I think America believes he is Rip.’
According to reports, Kevin Costner decided to depart from “Yellowstone” prior to the airing of the second part of its fifth and concluding season, allegedly due to creative differences with Taylor Sheridan and contractual salary disputes.
In the premiere of season 5B, the character of patriarch John Dutton, played by him, met his end, and the series concluded recently with a finale that received severe criticism from critics.
Jennifer and Ben, who dated and were engaged from 2002 to 2004, reunited in the spring of 2021.
