Yellowstone star pays tribute to “epic” show with filming update
As a dedicated fan who has journeyed alongside the Yellowstone family for seven seasons, I can confidently say that Wendy Moniz’s departure leaves a significant void. Her portrayal of Governor Lynelle Perry has been nothing short of exceptional, adding depth and complexity to the series created by Taylor Sheridan.
As a devoted fan, I can’t help but share my excitement after hearing that Wendy Moniz, the captivating star of Yellowstone, has wrapped up her scenes for the fifth and concluding season. Reflecting on her journey with this masterpiece crafted by Taylor Sheridan, she’s shared some insights about her experience, making it all the more intriguing for fans like me!
On Instagram, Moniz, who portrays Governor Lynelle Perry in the show, posted a collection of photos spanning her 7-year journey with the Yellowstone cast.
“Moniz concluded her series run on ‘Yellowstone’ and expressed various emotions like sentimentality, pride, and gratitude in her post.”
She expressed that the time spent here has been truly wonderful. She feels incredibly lucky to have collaborated with numerous skillful, committed, and compassionate individuals since 2017.
Moniz explained she completed her last scene as Governor Perry on August 1.
She wrote, “Over the past 7 years, I’ve found much to ponder about, as this special location filled with extraordinary individuals who have made it feel like a second home, has resonated deeply with me.”
As a passionate gamer, I felt deeply moved by Moniz’s heartfelt tribute to the show. It didn’t take long for an overwhelming wave of support from fellow fans and renowned celebrities to pour in, even reaching my Yellowstone co-star, the incredibly talented Kelly Reilly.
“Hey Wendy! We absolutely love you, it’s not just me but everyone else too! You’ve been fantastic to collaborate with for all these years. Here’s to your continued success!” – Reilly
Moniz also verified that the Western drama, originally starring Kevin Costner who left to concentrate on producing his television series titled Horizon: An American Saga, is coming back for part 2 of season 5 on November 10. He described the return as “epic”.
In an Instagram post, Costner ruled out the possibility of returning as John Dutton.
As a devoted fan, I felt compelled to reach out and share my thoughts after a grueling year and a half working on Horizon, juggling all its demands, and pondering over the captivating world of Yellowstone – a series that we both cherish. It dawned on me recently that unfortunately, I won’t be able to contribute to season 5B or any future episodes. This was something I wrote back in June.
“It was something that really changed me,” he continued.
As a lover of all things cinematic, I must confess that our shared passion for films has been nothing short of extraordinary. We’ve both found solace and joy in the silver screen, connecting over tales spun by some of the greatest storytellers our industry has to offer.
The second half of Yellowstone’s fifth season is set to broadcast on the Paramount Network starting from November 10. Additionally, it will be available for streaming on Paramount+ a day later, on November 11, for viewers in the United Kingdom.
