Yellowstone star Kelly Reilly’s best horror movie is now on Prime Video

As a die-hard fan of Kelly Reilly’s gripping performances, I can’t help but feel a sense of anticipation as her chilling horror masterpiece, “Eden Lake,” becomes available on Prime Video. Having been enthralled by her gritty portrayal of Jenny Greengrass in this terrifying tale back in 2008, I can’t wait to revisit the remote and sinister Eden Lake once more.

Kelly Reilly’s best horror movie Eden Lake is now available to watch on Prime Video.

In the 2008 movie, the character portrayed by Yellowstone’s actor is Jenny Greengrass. She embarks on a tryst-filled getaway at Eden Lake with her companion, Michael Fassbender’s character, for a romantic weekend.

Initially, the couple enjoys a peaceful retreat, but their tranquility is shattered when an aggressive gang of teenagers starts harassing them. The couple finds themselves in a harrowing situation as they are subjected to a continuous game of hide-and-seek or cat-and-mouse in this isolated location.

In addition to being directed by James Watkins, the film features actors Jack O’Connell (known for his role in Skins), Thomas Turgoose (recognized from This Is England), Jumayn Hunter (who starred in Time) and Shaun Dooley (familiar with Midsomer Murders).

Eden Lake has been given a “Fresh” rating on the movie review platform, Rotten Tomatoes, based on 31 critic reviews, boasting an impressive 81% approval rating.

The general agreement about the site is: “This British horror film, labeled as ‘hoodie-horror,’ manages to be both harsh and efficient. Despite falling back on certain cliches, it successfully maintains an eerie atmosphere.”

Excitedly speaking, I can’t contain my enthusiasm as I share the news that I, a devoted fan, will once again be graced with the presence of Reilly on our screens, reprising her role as Beth Dutton in the second half of Yellowstone’s fifth and final season this coming November.

While they were filming the final season in June, Reilly mentioned that the plot surrounding Beth remains a puzzle, but she aspires for her character to ultimately find “tranquility”.

When queried about its feasibility, the actor replied: “It’s just as achievable for anyone else. Achieving peace involves some effort, giving up control, and releasing past wounds and injuries.”

“I’m confident she will manage to locate it, though I can’t say for certain if it’s attainable. She truly embodies a warrior spirit, doesn’t she? Her purpose seems to revolve around protecting and fighting. It would be heartening to witness such an accomplishment for her.”

The hit series “Yellowstone” resumes for its second half of season 5 on Sunday, November 10 in the United States, and a day later on Monday, November 11 in the UK. You can catch it streaming on Paramount+.
