Yellowstone star hints at heartbreaking final episode
As a die-hard Yellowstone fan who’s been riding this wild ride for six exhilarating seasons, I can confidently say that the Dutton family saga has become more than just a TV show – it’s a way of life! The suspense leading up to the final episode of season 5 is enough to make a horse sweat. And with Luke Grimes’ emotional revelation about the finale being heartbreaking yet profound, I can only imagine what Taylor Sheridan has in store for us.
Yellowstone season 5 spoilers follow.
Yellowstone star Luke Grimes has hinted at the show’s heartbreaking final episode.
Right now, you can catch the much-anticipated second part of season 5 on Paramount+. This marks the end of Taylor Sheridan’s widely loved Western series drama that fans have been eagerly waiting for.
In an interview with TVLine, Luke Grimes, who plays Kayce Dutton from the beginning of the series, shared that he chose not to read the script for the last episode, set to stream on December 15.
He expressed, “Indeed, it’s the conclusion – the absolute finale. I was completely unaware of how the series would conclude, and I chose to delay reading that final episode until the very last moment.
Later on, Grimes admitted that he was quite a mess when he finally got around to reading the ending. He further expressed, “It’s stunning. It’s thought-provoking. It’s tear-jerking.
Additionally, he is certain that the audience will be content with the finale of the show, as he puts it: “They won’t think their last six years were spent in vain.
In the ninth episode of season five, the narrative took an unexpected turn as the character John Dutton (played by Kevin Costner) was discovered deceased at the start of the show.
Fans of Yellowstone were swift in expressing their dismay after witnessing the sad events, as many had expected Kevin Costner to play a significant part in the series finale given his integral role in the storyline.
Previously, Grimes shared that it was fortunate for us to keep Kevin on the show for as long as we did. The idea was that he would eventually need to leave for the plot to intensify significantly.
Although the series has concluded, there are whispers of a potential sixth season on the horizon. For now, enthusiasts can anticipate the arrival of the upcoming spin-off show “The Madison“, slated for release next year.
In modern-day storytelling, we’ll delve into the heartrending journey of a New York City family transplanted to central Montana, as they grapple with the emotional fallout from a devastating family incident.
“The series is a heartfelt study of grief and human connection,” the logline teases.
Its star-studded cast includes Michelle Pfeiffer, Suits actor Patrick J Adams and Firefly Lane‘s Beau Garrett.
