Yellowstone spinoff star Danielle Vasinova shares memories from being ‘dead for 3 minutes’ during Covid fight

Yellowstone spinoff star Danielle Vasinova shares memories from being 'dead for 3 minutes' during Covid fight

As I read through this heart-wrenching yet inspiring story of Danielle (Danielle’s real name), I found myself utterly captivated by her journey and resilience. It’s not every day that we come across someone who has faced death, experienced a spiritual awakening, and emerged stronger and more grateful for life.

She’s just been confirmed as part of the cast for the upcoming Yellowstone spin-off show titled The Madison.

Now, Danielle Vasinova is sharing her recollections of one of her most challenging experiences – the fierce fight against COVID-19 that declared her clinically deceased for a staggering three minutes.

The actress, aged 42 and a previous accuser of rape by her ex-boyfriend Robert Herjavec from Shark Tank, contracted an illness related to the pandemic towards the end of 2019. At that time, doctors were unfamiliar with the new virus, leading them to initially misdiagnose her condition.

According to Vasinova, who was featured in an episode of the TV series created by Taylor Sheridan (co-creator of Yellowstone) titled ‘1923’, she shared that on December 12, 2019, she experienced a state similar to death for about three minutes.

Initially, when I fell ill, I mistakenly believed it was a common cold or flu strain. At the time, medical professionals didn’t have much to offer in terms of assistance, as we were still in the early stages of what would later be known as the lockdown period and many businesses had temporarily closed down.

In my recent health journey, I found myself grappling with a persistent case of strep throat. Recognizing its worsening symptoms, I sought immediate medical attention at an urgent care center. After thorough examination, I was prescribed a course of antibiotics to combat the infection effectively.

‘But by the next day, I could barely walk,’ she recalled. ‘My legs wouldn’t move. It was bizarre.’

By 2 a.m. that night it was clear to her that something was seriously wrong.

‘I felt like I was going to die,’ she admitted.

A well-known horse rider stated that it was her uncle who drove her to an emergency room, possibly a crucial action in preserving her life. However, upon his return to visit her in the hospital, he encountered a startling scene.

She relayed to People that he claimed individuals were surrounding him rapidly, and a small child suddenly leapt onto his torso, continuously pushing, pushing, pushing. Then, he observed the monitor displaying her heartbeat abruptly stop, becoming flat.

As reported by Vasinova, it took a complete span of three minutes without any heartbeat activity. Throughout this period, a nurse persisted with chest compressions, and ultimately, the patient’s heart resumed its beating once more.

In that moment, they moved Vasinova to the hospital’s critical care ward, where they induced a coma as part of their efforts to keep her alive.

At that moment, she disclosed that her entire organ system had stopped functioning due to the devastating impact of the novel coronavirus on her body.

She stated, “In the blink of an eye, I transformed from being vibrant and healthy to battling an infection that has overwhelmed my entire system.” Or, “I went from thriving with good health to having a sudden, all-consuming illness take hold of me.

In my expertise, I can share that the encounter I had didn’t evoke the typical, trope-like memories often associated with individuals who’ve been clinically dead for a while. Yet, there was an undeniable sense of something greater watching over me, a feeling that continues to resonate within me.

She confessed that, unlike what others might experience, she didn’t have a vision of light or a tunnel, but these images could reappear to her in the form of sudden memories.

Later on, she started perceiving what seemed like angels around her in her everyday experiences. Moreover, she found herself noticing peculiar sequence numbers, such as ‘5555’ and ‘7777’, frequently appearing.

She expressed that the situation was quite unusual, but a voice inside her seemed to whisper, “There’s still something else awaiting you. Your journey isn’t over yet; there’s another path for you to tread.

Vasinova referred to her short-lived experience as a ‘significant transformation,’ which profoundly deepened her sense of connection. Now, she is deeply appreciative of all that life presents to her.

Reflecting on life’s beauty, I can’t help but appreciate its priceless value – a precious present bestowed upon us. It’s our mission to make a positive impact, to serve others, and to always carry the spirit of gratitude within us.

After regaining my strength, I couldn’t help but express my heartfelt thanks to the ER nurse who persisted in helping me, even when it took a miraculous effort to restart my heart.

She gave the savior a ruby-adorned bracelet as a token of gratitude for rescuing her from danger.

The actress shared that she wasn’t sure if the person would remember her, but upon seeing her, tears began to flow and the individual reacted strongly. She explained that after characters are moved between scenes or episodes, she has no idea who survives or perishes. She simply gave me a heartfelt hug because I was away for three minutes, but I returned.

Currently, Vasinova finds herself in an exceptionally promising position, having been recently selected to join the cast of the upcoming series, The Madison – a Yellowstone prequel featuring Michelle Pfeiffer as a main character.

Originally from local roots, Vasinova is set to portray Kestrel, a Native American woman married to a Montana rancher, who resides with her family in a double-wide trailer on Stacy’s (Pfeiffer’s character) farm, as described in the show’s summary.

The show explores the themes of grief and human bonding, focusing on a New York City family living in the Madison River valley of central Montana, in a deeply emotional manner.
