Yellowstone prequel star joins Scream 7 as Sidney’s daughter

As a seasoned gamer and horror movie enthusiast with over three decades of experience under my belt, I must say that the news of Isabel May joining the cast for Scream 7 has me absolutely thrilled! Having grown up watching Neve Campbell’s iconic portrayal of Sidney Prescott, it’s nothing short of surreal to see May stepping into a prominent role as her daughter in this much-anticipated sequel.

Isabel May has joined the cast for Scream 7, with the actor set to feature in a prominent role.

According to PEOPLE’s report, actress May, known for her role as Elsa Dutton in the prequels to Yellowstone titled 1883 and 1923, is expected to take on a new role in the seventh installment of the franchise. This upcoming film will see her playing the daughter of Sidney Prescott, portrayed by Neve Campbell, and is set for release in the year 2026.

In “Scream 7”, we find Jamie Lee Curtis reprising her role as Sidney, who was missing from “Scream VI”. The actress officially announced her return to the franchise through a social media post back in March.

She couldn’t contain her excitement as she shared the news: ‘Sidney Prescott is making a comeback!’ Playing Sidney in the Scream series has always been an enjoyable and esteemed experience for me. My admiration for these films and their significance in my life, remains undiminished.

I’m overjoyed and filled with pride to announce that I’ve been invited, in a very courteous manner, to revive Sidney for another appearance. Honestly, I can hardly contain my excitement!

For a long time, I’ve harbored a dream about collaborating with Kevin Williamson on one of our films, as I’ve been fortunate enough to work with horror maestro Wes Craven, and the gifted Matt and Tyler duo. It would be truly magnificent!

In contrast to the addition of Campbell and May, Scream 7 unfortunately bid farewell to Melissa Barrera and Jenna Ortega, who portrayed Sam and Tara Carpenter on screen.

Scream 7 will be released in 2026.
