Yellowstone prequel 1923 releases season 2 teaser trailer

As a long-time fan of Yellowstone and its expansive universe, I find myself eagerly anticipating the return of 1923 for its second and final season. Having grown up during the Prohibition era and the Great Depression, I can relate to the struggles that Cara (Helen Mirren) and Jacob (Harrison Ford) Dutton face in this period. The fact that we have to wait two years for the next installment seems like a lifetime, but the tantalizing teaser trailer has kept my excitement at bay.

1923, the prequel to Yellowstone, has unveiled a teaser trailer for its second and final season.

The television series on Paramount+, acting as a continuation of 1883, focuses on the characters Cara, played by Helen Mirren, and Jacob Dutton, portrayed by Harrison Ford. They navigate through the complexities of the Prohibition era and the Great Depression in this story.

After an amazing first season that wrapped up towards the end of 2022 and the beginning of 2023, I was thrilled to hear the news that we’d be getting a second season. However, it was also announced that this would be the final season, leaving us fans with a bittersweet wait until its premiere on February 23, 2025 – a wait of two long years!

Though there is still a little wait, fans can tide themselves over with the release of a teaser trailer, with the clip showing Spencer (Brandon Sklenar) continuing his journey home as his family comes under siege.

The trailer also offers a glimpse at other characters such as Banner Creighton (Jerome Flynn) and Donald Whitfield (Timothy Dalton), with Cara and Jacob being shown getting their hands dirty as they protect their home and “way of life.”

Sklenar, who was recently featured in “It Ends With Us,” had earlier discussed plans for the second season of the series. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, he hinted at a change in mood or atmosphere to be expected from the forthcoming episodes.

He mentioned that in part two, there will be a change in the mood, specifically for Spencer and the series as a whole. “The risks and pressures have escalated significantly,” he explained, “and the burden of guilt and suffering that Spencer brings into this next phase will mold him into an unfamiliar form we haven’t witnessed before.

In a different conversation with Fox News, the actor also conveyed his eagerness about soon acting alongside Mirren and Ford, stating: “I haven’t had the chance to act with them yet. However, in the upcoming eight episodes, I will… It’s coming true, and I can hardly contain my enthusiasm!

1923 season two will premiere on Paramount+ on February 23, 2025.
