Yellowstone Pays Tribute to Late Actor

1923, the prequel to Yellowstone, honored a departed cast member during its much-anticipated second season debut on Sunday evening.

Actor Cole Brings Plenty featured in the initial season of the drama starring Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren, but tragically passed away in April 2024.

In the first episode, a tribute titled “In Memory” preceded the return of the character Pete Plenty Clouds in the widely-watched Paramount+ series.

After the tribute, the character returned, now recast with Jeremy Gauna playing Pete.

The native character is the son of Hank Plenty Clouds (played by Michael Greyeyes.

In the opening scene, the character came across Teonna, portrayed by Aminah Nieves, following her flight from the reservation’s school to find her father, Runs His Horse (played by Michael Spears).

Gauna has already worked with Taylor Sheridan’s growing Yellowstone universe. Previously, he was part of the earlier prequel miniseries titled 1883, where Faith Hill and Tim McGraw played the lead roles as a married couple.

Previous investigations into Cole Brings Plenty’s demise uncovered no signs suggesting any form of misconduct or wrongdoing.

In the realm of life and lifestyle, let me share some recent updates that have left many hearts heavy. As I reflect on the events of April 2024, I’m compelled to speak about an unfortunate incident involving a talented young actor. The Johnson County Sheriff’s Office has released information regarding his untimely passing, which occurred at the tender age of 27, in a tranquil wooded area within Kansas earlier that month.

The Lakota actor was the nephew of Yellowstone star Mo Brings Plenty, 55.

According to Sheriff Calvin Hayden’s statement, detectives, crime scene investigators, and the Medical Examiner’s Office, along with the Lawrence Police Department and the Brings Plenty family, have been tirelessly working on the case of Cole Brings Plenty’s death. However, no signs of wrongdoing or foul play have been found in his passing.

The actor’s cause of death has not been released.

Last year on April 2nd, Mo posted a missing persons notice for his nephew, Cole, on Instagram. According to the post, Cole was last spotted on Easter Sunday evening.

Police in Kansas filed an arrest warrant against Cole, connected to a case of domestic violence that occurred towards the end of March.

People promptly expressed their sympathies towards the late Cole Brings Plenty, a man of Indigenous descent who was previously associated with Twitter, as one individual put it, ‘May you rest in peace, Cole Brings Plenty.’

It’s truly devastating that Cole Brings Plenty has passed away. My sympathies go out to his family, who held onto hope and tirelessly tried to locate him. I pray for a thorough investigation and for them to receive the closure they deserve with the truth.

On Tuesday afternoon, April 2nd, the Lawrence, Kansas Police Department announced that they had filed an affidavit with the Douglas County District Attorney for the potential arrest of an individual named Cole.

12News reported that officers were informed about a woman crying out for assistance on Sunday morning from an apartment in Lawrence.

According to reports, it was suggested that Cole left the location and was believed to be traveling southwards along Highway 59, as stated on the site.

He was last known to be driving a white 2005 Ford Explorer with a Kansas license plate.

In my line of work as a lifestyle expert, I recently came across an intriguing development regarding a popular figure named Cole. A notice on Mo’s Instagram revealed that he had skipped a prearranged meeting with his TV show agent – a move that seems quite unusual for him, given his consistent professionalism.

The poster also highlighted that his cell phone was switched off

In 1923, Cole, famed for portraying Pete Plenty Clouds, the shepherd, was seen departing Lawrence, Kansas, on a Sunday evening, according to a notice left at the scene.

On his Instagram, Mo’s Yellowstone co-star, Cole Hauser (playing Rip Wheeler), posted the same picture, asking fans for help if they’ve spotted him since Easter evening in Kansas City.

Michelle Randolph and Kelsey Asbille, co-stars from Yellowstone, similarly pleaded via social media, encouraging their followers to assist in the hunt for Cole.

Cole’s father, Joseph Brings Plenty Sr., also posted a call for help on Facebook.

In a recent post, Joseph expressed, ‘Should anyone have information on the whereabouts of my son, Cole Brings Plenty, I would greatly appreciate if they could ask him to contact me. We are all quite concerned for his well-being.’

Cole’s sister, Belle, also shared a missing person’s poster of him on Instagram. This poster depicted Cole as being around 5 feet 10 inches tall, with long, dark hair and brown eyes.

A short while following the Yellowstone stars circulating a lost person notice, the Lawrence Police Department posted a statement on Facebook, labeling Cole as a person of interest in relation to a case involving accusations of domestic abuse.

Based on the information provided, authorities were alerted by calls about a woman crying out for assistance coming from an apartment on a Sunday morning.

After an examination that pointed to Plenty as a possible culprit, footage from traffic cameras captured him departing the city right away following the occurrence.

Additionally, the police declared they had sufficient reason to take him into custody and broadcasted a warning to nearby departments.

Due to the private and potentially damaging accusations, officials chose not to reveal more specifics about the event.

The release mentioned that no additional information would be provided.

As an ardent admirer, I can’t help but share the latest update: The police have confirmed that they’ve been in touch with Cole’s loved ones, who are deeply worried and have reported him as a missing person.

Apart from 1923, Brings Plenty was featured in two series on the INSP channel: “Into the Uncharted West” and “Jim Bridger’s Legendary Yarns”.
