Yellowstone finale is ‘not what you think it’s gonna be’ says star Kelly Reilly but is ‘exciting’
As a long-time fan of the Yellowstone universe, I must say that the upcoming spin-off featuring Beth and Rip has me absolutely thrilled! Having witnessed their tumultuous journey thus far, it is clear that these two characters are the heart and soul of Taylor Sheridan’s masterpiece.
Yellowstone season five is coming to an end on Sunday.
Before the grand finale, actress Kelly Reilly, famously portraying the fiery character Beth Dutton in the Paramount western series, shared her thoughts on what viewers might anticipate.
I can’t even describe how different and thrilling this is going to be, just wait and see the beauty in its unexpectedness,” I shared with Entertainment Weekly, expressing my delight at the unique poetry it holds.
British actress Kelly also said she ‘hope it lands,’ as in she wishes it goes over well with fans.
A number of viewers speculate that Beth and her sibling, Kayce (portrayed by Luke Grimes), might give away the Dutton Ranch at a low price to their Native American acquaintances, under a convoluted arrangement involving taxes.
But now after Kelly’s comments it appears as if it won’t be that simple.
Regardless of what occurs, it’s clear that Beth and her husband Rip Wheeler, portrayed by Cole Hauser, will make it through because a spinoff featuring them is scheduled for release next year.
The Beth and Rip spinoff is underway, it was revealed on Wednesday by Deadline.
And there will be several familiar faces on it, the site reported but did not name names.
Upon a close examination of Season 5, it’s possible to make some educated predictions about who might join the cast for the upcoming series produced by Paramount.
Among them is Forrie J. Smith, portraying cowboy Lloyd Pierce. During season 5B, he was requested by Rip to continue his stay at the Dutton ranch.
In addition, there’s Carter, portrayed by Finn Little. He assumes the role of the adopted son of Rip and Beth in this production. It was clearly established that Carter would continue to work at the Dutton Ranch regardless of circumstances, as stated by Rip.
The unseen character is Ryan Bingham, known for portraying cowboy Walker. Interestingly, his screen partner Laramie is acted by his real-life spouse, Hassie Harrison.
Last week’s episode made it abundantly clear that he had no intention of remaining in Montana, instead planning a return to Texas.
It appears they might star in the anticipated spinoff of 6666, a topic that’s often been discussed for quite some time.
Previously, Walker expressed regret for leaving the ranch 6666, stating that it was where authentic cowboys toiled.
In my expertise, you won’t find me associated with Jimmy, the character portrayed by Jefferson White, as he is currently tied to the prestigious 6666 Ranch, affectionately known as ‘The Four Sixes,’ where he spends his days.
Moreover, Dawn Olivieri (portraying Sarah Atwood) won’t be part of the storyline as her character was taken out by a hitman squad.
And Colby, played by Denim Richards, won’t be seen as he was offed by a horse in 5B.
It’s unlikely that Jamie Dutton, portrayed by Wes Bentley, will survive until the December 15 finale, given the hint that Beth might kill him.
But if he does not die, he would be the perfect villain for Beth and Rip.
Additionally, it seems possible that if Jamie remains, there could be an opportunity for him to reconnect with his child’s mother, Christine, portrayed by Katherine Cunningham.
She was seen giving Jamie advice on 5B.
Additionally, Luke Grimes, known for portraying Kayce Dutton on the ranch, and his spouse Monica, depicted by Kelsey Asbille, might also be present at the ranch. However, it’s worth mentioning that Luke has expressed a desire to depart from the ranch this season.
Choosing Tate, portrayed by Breckin Merrill, for the spinoff could prove beneficial, given his existing connection with Beth and Rip’s son Carter, a bond that was emphasized in the latest episode.
Jennifer Landon, the actress portraying Teeter, might reappear, considering her past experience at the 6666 Ranch. She could potentially star in a spin-off.
It’s quite probable that the character portrayed by Gil Birmingham, known as Tribal Chairman Thomas Rainwater, who shares a close friendship with series creator Taylor Sheridan, will make an appearance on the program.
His loyal assistant Mo, played by Mo Brings Plenty, would be a smart save as well.
It’s possible that we’ll see more of the character Evelyn Dutton, portrayed by Gretchen Mol. In all likelihood, she will appear in scenes set in the past, as a reflection of Beth’s mother.
And there is a chance flashback scenes could include a young John Dutton, played by Josh Lucas.
It could be strategic to rehire Bella Hadid, who excelled in her role as the charming equestrian girlfriend of Sheridan’s arrogant horse trainer.
