Yellowstone creator’s new action thriller confirms Chris Pratt replacement and new release date
Brandon Sklenar is set to star in a new action thriller from Yellowstone creator Taylor Sheridan.
The story will focus on an ex-special forces soldier as he grapples with his transition back to civilian life in the U.S. after completing military service.
Upon encountering the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), the soldier is tasked with commanding a covert operation squad to dismantle drug traffickers, who are under the protection of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), within his own community.

As reported by The Hollywood Reporter, Sklenar has been cast as the main character in a new Warner Bros. production directed by Ben Richardson for his first time in a full-length film.
The film brings back actors Sheridan, Sklenar, and Richardson after their collaboration in the 1923 prequel of Yellowstone, which they recently worked on together.
In the mid-2010s, Sheridan initially penned the script, casting Marvel’s Chris Pratt as the main character. The film was acquired for production in 2018 by Time Warner, but it was cancelled in 2019 when the studio was purchased by AT&T.
Warner Bros. has officially announced that the movie “F.A.S.T” will be released in theaters on the 23rd of April, 2027.
Warner Bros. Motion Picture Group, represented by Michael De Luca and Pam Abdy, expressed their excitement in a statement about working with Taylor Sheridan on this film. They find the range of his work to be incredibly impressive, unmatched in its superior quality and consistency, which they are genuinely privileged to be part of.
We’re excited to have the highly skilled director Ben Richardson at the helm, along with the outstanding production abilities of Heyday Films and Bosque Ranch. This amazing creative crew will be bringing the movie F.A.S.T. to the silver screen for us.
F.A.S.T. is scheduled to be released in cinemas on 23 April, 2027.
