As a seasoned gamer of TV shows, I must say that the news about Hilary Swank joining Yellowjackets for season three has me more than just a little excited! With her impressive resume and two Academy Awards under her belt, I can’t wait to see how she brings life to her character in this gripping series.
Oscar winner Hilary Swank has joined the cast of Yellowjackets for season three.
In the upcoming season, which is being filmed in Vancouver right now, the actress recognized for playing Julie Pierce in “The Next Karate Kid” series, will make multiple appearances as a special guest star.
As Deadline reports, Swank is expected to join the show towards the end of the season, but the exact character she’s set to portray has not been disclosed yet.
The news comes after Community star Joel McHale was announced as a guest actor for season three.

Hilary Swank has been honored with two Academy Awards for her performances in the films “Boys Don’t Cry” (1999) and “Million Dollar Baby” (2004). Additionally, she has appeared in series like “Alaska Daily”, “Away”, and “The Good Mother”.
Recently, the actor graced Jon Gunn’s drama “Ordinary Angels” alongside Alan Ritchson, who is famously known for his role in “Reacher.
The movie draws inspiration from the brave actions of a local hairdresser, who mobilizes her neighborhood to aid a bereaved father in an attempt to rescue his seriously ill child’s life.
The show “Yellowjackets” revolves around a thriving high school girls football team that experiences a tragic plane crash in the vast Canadian wilderness. The series follows the story of these individuals as they struggle to survive in the forest, while simultaneously exploring how their lives have been rebuilt 25 years after the incident.

In a recent conversation with Digital Spy, Christina Ricci (who portrays Misty Quigley as an adult in the series) shared that many details about season 3’s storyline were kept secret before shooting began.
She admitted she isn’t well-versed in many things, as her role on the series often means she learns about upcoming events only moments before they are filmed. As a result, she is unsure of the specifics regarding Misty’s future.
Ricci added: “As soon as we receive the scripts, everyone on the set starts reading them right away. Regardless of where I happen to be, I’ll grab it and skim through it.
“It’s fun to be involved in something that people in general are curious and fascinated by.”
Yellowjackets airs on Showtime in the US and Paramount+ in the UK.
