Yakuza Wars Trademark Filed By SEGA

As a long-time connoisseur of the Yakuza series, I’ve seen Kiryu grow from a lowly dragon to a phoenix rising. The news about Sega filing a trademark for Yakuza Wars has me intrigued, yet slightly bewildered, much like trying to decipher the cryptic scrolls of an ancient Japanese master.

It’s been announced that Sega has applied for the trademark “Yakuza Wars,” though specific details about what this might entail are currently unclear.

The discovery was made by Gematsu, and today, the trademark was officially announced in Japan. This filing seems to be for a product related to gaming, but beyond that, details remain scarce.

As a diehard fan, I’ve been dreaming about diving into an RTS-style adventure where I command a formidable band of warriors, engaging in epic gang wars. How about “Gang Wars: Command Legions” as a fitting title or subtitle for the next installment in this beloved series that revolves around conflict?

As a devoted fan, I must admit that I’m perplexed by the transformation of my beloved series into “Like A Dragon.” After being accustomed to the title “Yakuza,” it feels somewhat different. It’s as if a familiar friend has changed their name, leaving me wondering what other surprises Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio has in store for us with this new iteration.

As a longtime fan of the Yakuza and Like a Dragon series, I was thrilled to see the trailer for the upcoming TV series last week. Having played both games numerous times, I can confidently say that the blend of action, storytelling, and immersive world-building is unparalleled in modern gaming. The title, Like A Dragon: Yakuza, is a fitting nod to the series’ evolution and growth over the years. I can hardly wait to see how this adaptation translates onto the small screen, and I’m excited to share my thoughts with fellow fans once it premieres.
