Xiaomi Shares Details on Production Spec SU7 Ultra

Xiaomi has officially unveiled the manufacturing version of its top-tier electric sedan, the SU7 Ultra, priced around $73,800 USD. The premier model in the SU7 series aspires to revolutionize electric vehicle performance, boasting a three-motor setup and a track-ready frame.

The SU7 Ultra boasts an impressive horsepower of 1,548, capable of sprinting from zero to 62 mph in an astonishing 1.98 seconds. It holds the title of the world’s fastest mass-produced four-door sedan with a top speed of a remarkable 217 mph. To maintain its exceptional performance, this electric vehicle comes equipped with a track-tuned cooling system to prevent overheating during high-speed circuits, as well as carbon-ceramic brakes that swiftly bring it to a halt from 62 mph in only 101 feet.

The aerodynamics of the SU7 Ultra have been significantly improved through features like a large front splitter, an active rear diffuser, and a carbon fiber rear spoiler boasting a 61-inch wingspan. This configuration can produce as much as 628 pounds of downforce, similar to that found in high-performance supercars. The SU7 Ultra’s body incorporates extensive use of carbon fiber, including a 1.7-square-meter roof, which sheds approximately 24 pounds off the vehicle’s weight.

The interior boasts a mix of luxury and sportiness, featuring Alcantara fabric, adjustable ventilated and massaging seats, and a carbon fiber steering wheel equipped with a flat top and bottom and Alcantara grip. Xiaomi’s HyperOS offers smart connectivity along with voice control, while the Racetrack Master app enables drivers to track lap times and vehicle performance in real-time.

Xiaomi intends to run the SU7 Ultra through tests at the famous Nürburgring Nordschleife track to bolster its reputation for top-notch performance. The vehicle, in its final production form, will be offered in five distinct colors, and customers can opt for racing packages that feature Pirelli P Zero Trofeo RS semi-slick tires and Bilstein EVO R coilovers.
