Xbox Game Pass Standard Tier Now Available With Access to a Library of 100+ Games But No Day One Releases

As a seasoned gamer with a wallet that’s seen better days, I must say I’m quite thrilled about Microsoft’s new Xbox Game Pass Standard tier! With my tight budget, the expanded library of hundreds of games at an affordable price is like striking gold in a video game desert.

Microsoft recently unveiled their latest addition, the standard edition of the Xbox Game Pass, which serves as a fresh choice for Game Pass members, although it doesn’t include immediate release titles like “Call of Duty: Black Ops 6” that will be available this coming October.

In simpler terms, the announcement by Xbox Wire explains that they offer various choices for you, and this is why Game Pass includes multiple options to select from. The standard edition of Game Pass is now added to the existing PC Game Pass and Game Pass Core editions, while the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription comes with all its regular advantages, including first-day releases.

Game Pass Core provides approximately 25 games and savings of up to 50% on selected titles. In contrast, Game Pass Standard includes all the benefits of Core, plus a larger collection of over 300 games, including Forza Horizon 5, Rainbow Six Siege, Minecraft, the Halo series, Age of Empires, and many more.

Microsoft remains committed to providing top-tier gaming experiences across various cost ranges, enabling players to select a plan with the ideal blend of features according to their gaming requirements and financial capacity.

Xbox Game Pass Standard costs $14.99/£10.99 a month – $5/£5 more than Xbox Game Pass Core, while Xbox Game Pass Ultimate costs $19.99/£14.99 a month.
